The Ghost Of Christmas Past
So yesterday was another bout of eye treatment. This time it wasn’t too bad. We started on the left eye. And the doc wanted to go easy on it. I only have 16% vision left on the left eye. Geez. The doc said he could tell. And there was something that was swollen or something. So we just did a short round. It’s still insanely uncomfortable to have that thing shoved in your eyeball. But at least it was over quickly.
Afterwards I went to the playground and had fun with the goat boys. They had some new tricks up their sleeves. One of them managed to jump up on the bench with me. That’s the first time that happened. Only once though. And they started eating the bread I offered them. The first time that has happened too. They sure liked that bread. They’re going to make fine goats, hungry for treats. Today I did the Saturday animal feeding and afterwards I sat down with them. Tried offering them raisins. And they took those as well. Especially the darkheaded one really munched them down. He wanted more more more. And when I didn’t want to give him any more he chewed on my fingers instead. Goats can never get enough.
Mmm. With muddy knees.
I also had a nice scratching session with the darkheaded one. Scratching his neck. He moved his head around and looked up in the sky and his tongue jutted in and out. Like licking his lips. So they’re taking treats and scratches now.
Other than that all is quiet on the western front. I had a nice chat with Skye this evening. It’s been a while, a long while. I don’t know if you realize it but Hanne from my comments is actually Skye. Heck, I don’t know if there are any people from the Plume/Skye days still around. Sometimes I miss the past. Sometimes I miss the future. The memories of what never was.
The past has let me be, returning as if dream

Skye=Hanne and Hanne=Skye? Is there a Scottish Fold kitty involved somewhere or am I totally lost?

I’m still here — and I remember the Plume/Skye days! Sorry for falling out of touch, but grad school keeps me busy/distracted. I do check back, though. :)

Debster – One and the same. Like the senile waiter and the gentle giant from Twin Peaks. Only much, much prettier. And good call about the kitty.
hanne – Your cats are famous !
Valja – Hey, I’m glad you’re still around! Hope school’s going well. Don’t be a stranger!

Hanne: Yes, I’m terrible about names, but I always remember our clients cats and dogs names! My husband and I start talking about someone we “painted” but can’t remember their name. And I say didn’t they have a black lab named “Timon” or a fuzzy little white dog and a guinea pig?
How are your precious kitties anyway?

hey debster, i have that the other way around.. i can remember first and last names right away after hearing or reading once.. but i understand it anyway, i often pay more attention to the pet then to the person.. look first at the dog instead of the owner.. i once managed to not notice my collegue passing by because i was looking at her dog :)
my kitties are doing very fine.. though i notice my youngest kittie misses my ex, she prefered playing with him.. they play together now, they almost never did that. they also sleep more close together.. interesting to see that!
