Squinting Squids

Did I say that I had nothing planned this week? Not quite right. There was one little thing.

I mentioned that my parents bought a new printer, right? I had to go install that. Not a big job, normally. But when you can’t see a bloody thing then it gets a little more complicated. Oh boy. Did I tell you about how I halped my mother set up a facebook account when I was over there for my brother’s birthday dinner? They have my old monitor and it’s a small one, 15 inches I think. And they use Internet Explorer not Firefox so I couldn’t zoom. I literally had to lean over so my face was right up to the screen. And squint. My mother couldn’t help laughing at it. Although she did also offer her sympathy sand said that of course it wasn’t funny.

Anyway, I got the printer installed at least. Everything up and running. No one was home when I got there, so I had peace and quiet to do it. And right as I finished writing a note to my parents, the door opened and my dad and uncle Jens came in. I didn’t know he was visiting, but nice to say hi to him. He’s leaving today already, though. He’s not feeling too well and apparently there’s a big snowstorm coming tomorrow. So he wanted to drive home before that.

Afterwards I walked up to the playground. It started snowing softly and I had good times with the animals.

How can you have anything but good times with them?

But now I think I have the week off. Nothing more to do. Except have fun with goats. Oh yeah.

The goat boys look like they’re running toward you at full speed for more bread! Hand it over, mister! We are hungry goatzies.

Hooray for Internet Explorer! My husband uses Firefox.

Hope Uncle Jens was just under the weather a bit and not something really serious. I know last time you said he was doing okay with his health problems.

I got to visit with the “shop cat” at the elevator today. Her name is “Miss Kitty” and she purred for me.

Also another client we painted for had two tri-colored corgi dogs and several cats. The corgi’s were friendly and smiled a lot. The cats took one look at us and ran off to hide. Didn’t think we were all that scary!

Debster – Firefox is amazing. Even before I went blind and needed the zoom. I spent years and years with IE. I am never going back.
.. not that I’m preaching or anything!
Uncle Jens was coming down with a flu or something similar. But nothing worse than that. Haven’t seen any snow today by the way.
Maybe the cats had social phobia? I know my instincts often tell me to run away, even when the people aren’t really scary!
