Thru The Eyes Of Penguins
I’m sore. My body. I don’t know why.
From feeding the animals? I don’t now. It wasn’t harder than usual. But cold. Very cold. I had a good time with all the critters though. Sat for a while afterwards with the goat boys. I brought them raisins. I figured that since they have started taking bread, maybe they’d like raisins as well. And boy did they! They were eager for more, that’s for sure.
Today was soup day. Mama’s world famous chicken soup. The belly and the fridge are both full. And that ain’t not good. I also helped my mother with some Facebook stuff. More squinting. I uploaded pictures from the Greenland trip for her. Unfortunately there was something wrong with the upload. Otherwise I would have given you the link so you could all see what I missed. But we’ll try again later.
And then we’ll see.
Until then, here is another goat boys video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxyxAvSz6OA. They’re playing around with each other. I love when they do that. I bet they’re going to be big rivals when they grow up. They’ll be mugging me for bread that’s for sure.
At one point you’ll hear a kind of burp in the background. I’d just like to point out that that was Magnethe, not me!
I swear.

Goat boys: “Can Plume come out and play?”
Magnethe: “No, he can’t. He’s with me today. You little goats go away and play someplace else!”
So Magnethe had some of mama’s soup and it made her burp? Okay…..
We have much snow on the ground with some deep drifts. I took the boys and dinky donkey out for walkies this afternoon since it wasn’t too cold or windy.
They’re all plowing thru the snow, happy and smiling and glad to be out even if the snow is deep. (Especially to a pygmy goat!)
Everything was going good until Frankie decided he was a bird and stood up on his back legs to eat the birdseed I’d put into the feeder.
I couldn’t get him away from it and ended up sticking the bird feeder in the back porch. Had a heck of a time keeping Frankie from following the feeder into the porch as well. (Where the food goes, goes Frankie.)
You’d think we didn’t feed that little goat, but we do! After he couldn’t get the bird seed, he decided to head back to the barn and that started a stampede.
(Where’s Frankie going? I don’t know, but let’s follow him. It must involve food!) So everyone high-tailed it to the barn to eat hay and drink warm water.
I was worn out after rescuing bird feeders and having a goat chase me to get said feeder.
John Boy and Billy were looking at Frankie like what in the world is that silly goat up to now? And why is our human floundering thru the deep snow with a bird feeder? I’ll never understand those humans!

Debster – So that’s why Magnethe’s belly is looking bigger, it’s all the soup she’s been eating!
I love the image of Frankie following the bird feeder haha. And I love when goats “stampede”. They’re good at getting themselves all worked up and running around. “You’re going over there? Then I’m going over there too” “But there’s a nice spot over there, I’m going over there now” “well then I’m going over there too!” “well we’re all going over there then!” “wait now we’re here, but whatabout over there? let’s all go over there!”.Oh goats.
