Alligators In Århus Sewers
(google cache)
I am tired. Did not sleep well last night. And then I had to get up early to go to the doctor’s office. And was not allowed to eat or drink. I am still feeling a little out of wonk.
The doctor stuff went okay. I went into the nurse’s office and sat down. She looked at me and said “so your throat is hurting?”. I looked at her and said “err, not really no”. She looked at her computer screen and said “you’re Plume, right?”. I said “yup”. “Says here you have a sore throat”.
We got it all sorted out, though. I’m not sure how they got the wrong information into their system like that. But soon enough she took some blood and measured my blood pressure (which was fine) and I left a urine sample and that was that. I was under the impression that the yearly diabetes test was a really big thing with lots of tests and stuff. But it was over in a second.
And then I went to the playground. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zi8-dptrEqA a la video. I put the camera on the fence so you get some far shots of me sitting on the bench. That’s what I do. Sit on the bench with the goat boys crawling all over me. You can also see how they’re getting less afraid of Magnethe. They test her more, she can’t just bully them away so easily now. She tries to, but they keep coming back for more. If they get to stay at the playground (as I pray they do) then surely they will usurp her throne soon enough.
I also had to go empty my parents’ mailbox. They have been off to Italy for 3-4 days. Came home this evening. They have been enjoying sunny Rome. Some people have all the luck.
Oh yes, thanks must go out to Katrine. who sent me several goat cards. Thank you so much, they are perfect! Also thank you to Debster who sent me a package. So it did arrive before my birthday after all. Unfortunately I wasn’t home to accept it. It was the darndest thing. As I left the apartment this morning to head to the doctor I saw the mailman’s bike parked outside the next block. And I thought to myself I thought “great, I bet he’s got Debster’s package”. And so it turns out he did. I had to take a bus 30 minutes early because of construction work downtown. If I could have taken the regular bus then I probably would have been home for the mailman. But oh well. I will be able to pick up the package next week, and thank you so much in any case Deb!
Tomorrow I shall relax and then Sunday it’s birthday dinner and Brøndby on the telly. Good times.
PS. If you like goats then check out this youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/deckchick. She’s having babies right now. Well, her goats are. Splendid stuff.

Hello Mr. Plume,
I have your postcard right here, but unfortunately I woke up with an annoying virus thing, so I stayed in bed with an aching head and couldn’t mail it off today. It won’t get there by your birthday now, I’m afraid, but it will get there!
I am glad your doctor’s appointment wasn’t so bad in the end. :)
*hugs*

So I take it there were no bands or parades for your “yearly” diabetes test! Drat. Just what we all wanted to hear about, too.
Bad parents! Going to Italy. Did they ask me if I wanted to go? Noooo.
Doesn’t Vanilje stick up for her kids in front of Magnethe? Or Vanilje lets them fight their own battles?
Bad postman. Need to write something like: “You can’t leave until this package is in Plume’s hands.”
I wonder were that gal with the birthing goats lives? Must be someplace north where they still have much snow. Maybe the Dakotas? The babies were sure cute though.
Have fun at your birthday dinner!

Feel better Valja
Debster – No, I think Vanilje feels that the boys are old enough to stick up for themselves. Honestly, I think she’s more afraid of Magnethe than they are! She’s never been too good at standing up for herself, Vanilje. She grew up with Mads as the big boss and Magnethe the big sister and she’s never gotten to be top of the herd. But she’s a big goat now and after having the boys she does seem more confident. But she still doesn’t take on Magnethe too often!
