Chitlins, Whisky And Skirt

(google cache)

I did not sleep well last night. Today I have been tired. Action-reaction.

I was planning to go see the goats. But in the end did not feel up to it. I’ll try to go tomorrow. I must enjoy the time I have with the boys. I might have to say goodbye to one of them soon. Kurt told me a while ago. Remember the Organic Garden? They took Lakrids and Chokolade. Kurt told me that they are looking for a buck too now. So they might end up taking Finn or Jacob. It will be very sad to have to say goodbye. But I know that place is a wonderful place for goats. And the thouht of one of Vanilje’s boys getting to run around and have fun with Lakrids and Choko is very sweet. It would be a good life, and what more can you ask for? Hopefully we’d get to keep the other boy.

They have new pictures of Lakrids and Choko (or Kanel, as they call her) on their website. There is one on this page. And a couple on this page. I’m not sure how recent those pictures are, I’d imagine they’re even bigger by now! But they’re looking good. The text says that they are expected to have kids in spring next year. So they must be doing well. They are socalled “klappegeder”. Petting goats. I know Finn or Jacob would make great petting goats. They just love to climb all over humans. Or all over me at least.

But nothing’s sure yet. So we’ll see what happens. We have Magnethe’s babies to look forward to soon of course. I hope they’ll get to meet both boys, that’d be fun. Imagine me sitting there with Finn on my back and then tiny newborn baby goats on his back. Let’s see if we can pull that off. A human/goat pyramid.

Just got in to Copenhagen today — so I will definitely have time to send a card. Now we are in the same country, imagine that! This is my first visit to Copenhagen, or Denmark for that matter, and I have to say it is pretty (although very windy!) Also, your bank notes are awesome. Such bright colors! (Yes, I am easily entertained, haha.) I want to visit some goats now, since your blog has made me associate Denmark with adorable goats. :)

I think my sister has several dvd sets of Lost, so maybe I can watch them at some point. The problem is, I have never had a tv in any of my rooms at college (or grad school, for that matter) so I have been out of the tv-watching loop for some time. Still, I watched the youtube video called “All you need to know about Lost in eight minutes” so I guess that’s a start ….

Yes, Valja. Denmark is known as “The Country of Adorable Goats”! The men are all handsome, the women lovely, the children are all above average, and the goats are all adorable.

Plume, I’m going to send our Demon Donkey over to visit the Organic Garden. They mention how friendly and kind their donkeys are. Snickers bit my husband and kicked him and she bit me on the forearm. And this was when we were putting her halter on so we could all go for walkies, something we’ve done many, many times before.

My husband was just saying how good she had been the last week or so. He spoke too soon, I think. The farrier stopped in to take a look at her hooves last night and he will be back sometime soon to trim them.

That should be an experience! We trimmed hooves on the three goats tonight and we’re tired! You would think they would be used to hoof trimming by now.

We ignored the donkey after her nastiness to us. So then she starts being a lovey donkey. “See how sweet I am, pet me, pet me. I won’t bite you.”

We just ignored her and that really frustrated her. She was really docile when we left without petting her. Hopefully she will be over her bad donkey mood tomorrow.

Otherwise, we will have to film her in: “When Donkeys Go Berserk”.

Valja – I hope you’re enjoying the country! If you were in Århus I could give you a tip on a great place to meet goats, but in Copenhagen you’re on your own.
Hmm, our money is colourful? I never noticed. Maybe if you sent me some… Nah, just joking!
That 8 minute Lost thing was a DVD extra. It’s quite fun. But just because you have seen that you shouldn’t think there’s nothing left to see in Lost for you. They left out a lot of stuff and obviously had to go over it all very quickly. Plus the new seasons have given even more questions and asnwers. What lies in the shadow of the statue? ooh, I don’t know!

Debster – You should work for the ministry of tourism, you should. Don’t forget our amazing blue squirrels though.
