Happiness Is A Warm Sun
(google cache)
It has been another beautiful day. High sun and almost 20 degrees. That’s summery, that is.
I spent a good time with the goats. They enjoyed the warmth as well. The boys were quite excited and tiring themsevles out quickly.
You could tell by their breathing. It almost sounded like a dog panting. I had Finn standing on my back and leaning his head down and I could hear his heavy breathing in my ears. Hehe.
There wss a big bunch of kids visiting today. One boy came up to the fence and looked in. Two of the goats were outside, two inside. He asked me “which one of the goats is Mads?”. So I had to tell him that Mads wasn’t there anymore. “Aw, I miss Mads” he said. “I miss him too” I replied. “He headbutted me once… in the butt”. Hehe. Nice kid.
There were a couple of girls who wanted to come in to the goat fold too. Back in the day I would just have told them to come in. But now that I don’t actually work at the playground anymore I don’t feel I can just do that. Also with Magnethe being so rowdy sometimes. She was well behaved today again. But you never know. So I figure it’s better for Kurt or Per to decide if the kids can go in.
But it was a good day in the sunshine.
Thank yous go once again to Valje. For another postcard. This time from Copenhagen. That must be some kind of record. Three cards from three different countries in the space of… three weeks? Or something like that. Smashing stuff, Valja!
Tomorrow the fun is over, though. Back to the hospital. For the cataracts exam. 3-4 hours. But I hope that they will have the data from the last exam and that I won’t have to be there as long this time. Hopefully it’ll be over without too much fuzz and I can be scheduled for an operation soon. Hopefully.
Fingers crossed.

Love the photos of the goats enjoying the sun – it’s been rainy and chilly here in Toronto all week and I’m jealous!

Good luck on your tests!
The goatzies are getting so big. I can’t image one on my back. Had our boys out for a walk last night. They were sure eating up the new green grass. Everyone had green chins when we walked back to the barn. (Except me!)

You’ve been in my thoughts today! Hope it all went well at the hospital. I have an appt. at Skejby in 3 weeks time. That’s over your way an’ all. But don’t worry – I shan’t be knocking on your door or nowt.
Well done on the pancakes. Just a little tip – use 50/50 plain/wholemeal flour. makes for some scrumptious pancakes. I promise. You have to stir the mixture before you pour it into the pan every time, because the wholemeal flour sinks, but it’s worth it. And it makes pancakes just that little bit healthier. I make a fab filler with bean sproupts, mushroom and ham. It’s a firm favourite in this here house. Well, the pancakes, mainly, but Adam and I both enjoy the filler even if my kids turn their noses ;) Kids, eh! Who’d have ‘em!?
Oh, and if I do end up going ahead with the fat op, you HAVE to come to the hospital and see me!!! Well, at least go to reception with a large bouquet for me – or a helium balloon – always wanted one of them! ;)
Sending you hugs.

Erica – Take a trip to sunny Denmark! Hehe!
Debster – I didn’t even need the tests, that was a relief. All went fine.
The goat boys are so big that I really shouldn’t let them up on my back. Especially since I already have back problems now and then. What can you do. Love makes you do stupid things.
Desiree – It all went well thank you. In fact the bus I took goes all the way to Skejby, I think it’s the last stop on the route. Maybe if I get enough helium balloons I can fly to Skejby on my own. Or maybe I’ll come with a parade of goats. I’m sure they’d all like to see you. I’d have to make sure the boys wouldn’t jump up on you though. That probably wouldn’t be a good idea.
Thanks for the pancake advice. I’ll try and remember that the next time I make ‘em.
