Bing Hitler Hates Everything

Remember how I said that I would like a peaceful and quiet December with nothing unforeseen happening? Well, naturally something unforeseen did quickly happen. My right eye started acting up again. Pains and watering. So Monday morning we went back to the hospital for an unscheduled checkup.

It turned out that the pressure was no higher than it was at last week’s checkup. But the doc said that there had been some reactions to the laser treatment. That was probably what I was feeling. At last week’s checkup it was decided that I should stop taking one of the two eyedrops I’d been on. The doc yesterday said that it might have been too soon that I stopped with those. That was my feeling too, that it wasn’t necessarily that the pressure had risen but I was just feeling the effects more after I stopped with those eyedrops. So now I am back on both eyedrops. And it has already helped. No more pain. The eye still waters sometimes, especially when I read or look at bright, white colours. But it’s much better already.

I got a new appointment next week. I’ll be talking to the lady doctor who is the expert on the laser stuff. The one who did the laser treatement. We’ll see what she says. I have previously said that I thought I wouldn’t need a second round of lasers, but now I think I most likely will need it. The pressure is still around 40 in the right eye. It should be around 12-14 I think. So while it’s not a big problem as long as I take my eyedrops, I still think I’ll need more lasers to get the pressure down and get completely off the meds.

The appointment is on Tuesday, December 15th. Maybe if I’m lucky I can still get a quiet and peaceful christmas and new years. Unless something unforeseen happens. Haha. Nervous laughter.

Other than that, the big news in Denmark right now is of course the climate conference in Copenhagen. All eyes on us, apparently. I do hope they will, you know, save the world and all. I can’t help getting cynical about it though, as always when politics are involved. I hope everyone gets a good photo op with Obana. Most fun so far was our prime minister being introduced as “his excellency”. Hah. I haven’t heard that one before. Anyway, good luck to them all. We want to leave a healthy planet to the goats, when they inevitably take over.

No global warming here! We only had about half the snow and wind our state capital had. So only 6 or 7 inches of snow and winds of 26 mph. The temp is 19 F (-7 C) and is to get colder tonight, but the wind is supposed to die down some.

No goatzies wanted out for walkies tonight. Everyone stayed in the barn except for the cats who didn’t venture far from the barn. Billy thought we needed to stay longer than we did as he started baaaing very loudly as we left.

There are a few hardy juncos and sparrows at the bird feeder. Frankie seems to think it is a “goat feeder” as he stands up on his back legs and butts the feeder until seed falls out. Silly goat!

We stayed on the highway today when we went to the shop to work. Too much drifting snow to travel on the back gravel roads. We like to travel the back roads to look for deer, pheasants, turkey, or bald eagles. Maybe in the next day or so after they get the roads plowed, we’ll take the gravel ones to look for wildlife.

In Leicester! That’s kinda funny since I haven’t lived there since – well, since I met Adam some 6 years ago. Goes to show how little I use that account, though I have actually bought stuff from there since I vacated the Leicester premises! I shall see what I can do! Again, though, you really needn’t buy my spoilt brats any presents! ;)

debster – I wouldn’t mind a little localized global warming. Just following me around. Maybe I need to emit more gasses. Yes, that’s my excuses..
I’m a little sad that my circulation is so bad now. I used to love snow so much. But now I can barely stand a couple of hours in 5-10 degrees. How am I ever going to cope when it gets freezing. I guess I’ll need more sweaters and long underpants. Yes.
I think goats see the whole world as a “goat feeder”.

desiree – It did seem odd to me yes, Leicester. Sometimes I have really bad memory, especially on details like birthdays and addresses and whatnot. I was a little worried that I had just imagined that you lived in Denmark now..
I want to spoil your kids too hehe!
