Ace Ventura 3: Goat Detective
Today Magnethe’s kids became world famous.
Well, sort of. A little. Jim Carrey mentioned them on twitter.
He was asking people to send him pictures of heaven. Seems most people sent him pictures of smiling babies. I sent him a link to the video of the goat kids on my back. And a little later he tweeted: “Spank u kindly 4 sharing your Heaven! It seems the gates r easily openned by children, blue skies, beaches’n’baby goats!LOOK NO FURTHER! 8^• “. He was obviously suitably impressed. Haha. I know it’s silly, but it just tickles my funny bone to know that Jim Carrey has seen Magnethe’s babies. I used to be obsessed with Jim Carrey when I was younger. I don’t know how many times I watched The Mask. But it was many. I even loved Cable Guy! I am not so obsessed with him today, but I do still like him. And he writes some weird-ass tweets sometimes.
I am sure he absolutely loved the goats. How could he not? Everyone must love them. And here is a new video, from yesterday: youtube.com/watch?v=EdjaTCaI1SA. Random fun. I do love it so when they run around without rhyme or reason. They sprint from A to B. Then turn around and run back to A. Then back to B. Then to C. And then to A. Like little bottle rockets. Little batteries storing up so much energy that they just need to run around randomly to burn it off. In the video they also “play tag” with a bunny, as Purty puts it. It’s always sweet when they interact with other animals. The other day the boy had a close encounter with a chicken. He went right up to it to investigate and the chicken squawked loudly and flapped its wings around, which made the bewildered little goat boy jump back in surprise. It was quite adorable, and I thought I was filming it all only to later realize that the camera hadn’t been recording. Darn.
The weather has gotten colder today. Grey and rainy. Mother tells me it even snowed a little. Slushed? I hope the sun comes back soon.
Oh I thought of names for the goat kids. Luke and Leia. Brother and sister, you know. Jedi twins. But that is unfortunately a bit too international for the playground. So I will have to keep thinking. What other famous brothers and sisters are there? Hmm.
Speaking of unfortunate, there was a little unfortunate incident with Magnethe yesterday. She made a girl cry. By butting into her. No one was hurt, but I think the girl was pretty scared. I try to keep an eye on things when there are children around, beccause Magnethe does sometimes lash out. Especially if they come running up to her all noisely and her babies are there and all. But most of the time she behaves well enough, so she caught me off-guard. And I am not as fast as I used to be. I’m afraid that’s one girl who won’t grow up to be a goat fan.
But at least there were other good candidates for goat fandom. Several of the children came over and wanted to pet Magnethe’s boy when I was sitting with him in my lap. Goat baby is a somewhat more manageable size for (human) kids.
They are quite lovely for adults too, in fact.

I think jim Carrey suffers from some sort of mental illness. Probably manic-depressive. A lot of his tweets seemed to have been from his manic states.

by which i meant, as a side note, that i think you underestimate the number of people who do have some sort of mental illness who do nonetheless lead “normal” lives.

89j – Nonetheless I have no ambitions to become a super famous multimillionaire movie star.
Anyway, I’d hardly say his life is normal.

Raven & Arthur? Those are good names for cute siblings!
I’ve smoked weed from a very nice glass bong in the very same high school parking lot where Jim Carey used to smoke pot. Yes, sirey!

Desirée – Raven and Arthur would be very awesome names! I would just end up confused with all those awesome people and goats named Raven and Arthur!
I didn’t know you went to school with Jim Carrey!
Haha
