Bridge Over Smoky Water
Nothing really new to report. But I do have a couple of fun goat videos, so I’ll just leave them here.
youtube.com/watch?v=iM3tsUX0n2w. Someone had left the gate to the goat fold open. So Felix the pony decided to go in and check out the surroundings. And the goats decided to let him have the place to himself and instead go out into the horse field. I think Hans & Grethe enjoyed the extra space. They were running around like when they were little kids. They also enjoyed all the grass and trees they could now get to. Although on the downside, they weren’t quite at ease with the big horsies.
I had a good time. It was fun to see the goats interacting with the horses. They should spend more time together, I’m sure they’d learn to get along. Eventually.
At the end of the video there’s a little look at the new bridge I have mentioned. The one crossing the only road where I have to cross with traffic lights. But it seems like I won’t be using it in the future after all. My dad says it’s a temporary one. That it was just put up for the Ã…rhus Festival week. It seems very odd to me, that they would put up a bridge for just a week. But what can you do. It doesn’t matter, it’s not a hard road to cross. There is so much traffic that I can always tell when there is a red light because the cars are stopping. I also tried out the telescope I borrowed from the sight central. It worked well. I could see the traffic lights. So that makes it even easier. I don’t know how much use I’ll get from the little telescope, but I’m going to buy myself one anyway. It’ll be good to have. You never know when you have to cross at a traffic llight.
More goat fun. youtube.com/watch?v=U_1tLDJuGxM. Hans is a big boy now. He doesn’t back down when Magnethe tries to discipline him. They had a long row. With Grethe butting in. I think Magnethe were a little upset that she couldn’t just bully Hans around. “Hey, I’m the mother, I’m supposed to be in charge here!”. They grow up so fast.
And that’s all for now.

Silly goats is right! The horse I like with the pretty mane is in the first video. Everyone thinks the grass is greener in the other pasture, don’t they?
The goats are sure interested in the horse and ponies, but when the horse and ponies show any interest back, off run the goatzies.
Our boys always like to play-fight and knock heads. Hans sure seemed to be having fun knocking horns with Magnethe. Grethe just seems to want to get in there and play somehow and be part of the “goat gang”.
We had the boys and Snickers out the other evening and they were looking at the cows that are on the other side of the fence. The goats just watch and watch the cows and the cows are curious as well.
One of the cows snorted, which startled Snickers and the goats. The goats ran off into the yard and so did Snickers. The next thing my husband knew was he felt something nudging his leg from behind.
It was Snickers! She had came up behind him and was putting him in-between her and the snorting cow. Snickers was peeking out behind my husband. Guess she didn’t think the cow could see her. hee, hee
She may be a miniature donkey, but she’s not that small!

Debster – Yes it is awfully cute, the horsies and goatzies. “Hmm what a big goat, what kind of goat is that? Really big.. let me get closer.. very big… AAH TOO BIG! RUN AWAY”.
I wonder how my goatzies would react to a cow. I like cows. At least when they are calm and chewing cud.
I guess Snickers sees your husband as the leader of the flock. “Protect me oh fearless leader!”

I don’t know if you follow “Martha Stewart” at all, but she has miniature donkeys. She says in her last magazine how friendly, sweet, loyal, and tame her donkeys are.
We are going to teach Snickers how to read so she can find out how “nice and sweet” miniature donkeys are supposed to be (according to Martha Stewart)! hee, hee

Debster – Actually I do follow Martha Stewart. On Twitter. She followed me first. No fooling. It was kind of a surprise haha. Other than that I don’t know that much about her.
Maybe Snickers needs to go to one of those boot camp type things. I’m sure they must have those for donkeys!
