Hallowed Goat’s Eve

Ladies and gentlemen, ghosts and goblins. Happy Halloween. If you celebrate it. Or observe it. Or party it. Or whatever you do.

I don’t think Halloween is that big in Denmark yet, but my Facebook feed is a buzz with buzz. So I hope you have a good one. Smash a pumpkin for me.

I celebrated Halloween with those most devilish and scariest of beings… GOATS! You can keep your zombies and werewolves. There is nothing as diabolical as a hungry goat.

Actually, don’t get me started about goats being portrayed as demonic and satanistic and hooves and horns etc. It pisses me off. Goats are not evil, they’re just misunderstood.

Anyway, I had a great time with them. It was grey and wet but not too cold. And the goats seemed hungry for tricks and treats. By which I mean scratchies. And treats. Funny how goats never pick tricks if you ask them.

As the weather is getting colder they are getting fuzzier and fuzzier. Bob especially is getting quite woolly. I swear he looks just like a little, black lamb now. It’s so adorable. I could probably make a sweater out of him. A scary, black Halloween sweater.

I think he’s too big to get through the fence now, too. So hopefully no more heart attacks for me when I can’t find him anywhere because he has run off on his own. He’s still just about small enough that I can pick him up and put him in my lap and sit with him like that. Cuddly little woolly furball of fun.

In other news, I finally got my new computer back on Thursday. So that made me quite happy. Unfortunately some new problems arose with it fairly quickly. So I have been spending more time on technicalities and OS frustrations. But I’m confident I’ll have it all solved. Probably tomorrow. No worries.

I’m probably going to hook up my new computer to the TV. While it has been away for repairs and upgrades I have been using the old computer at the TV. And now I have gotten used to sitting in my comfy chair by the TV. It’s just nicer. Bigger screen, higher resolution. Much comfier chair. The TV channels just a click of the remote away. I have gotten to like it. So when everything is sorted out I’ll swap the two computers around so my new computer is down by the TV and my old computer is up here on the desk with the computer monitor. For some reason my eyesight is better down by the TV too. I’m not sure exactly why, but my theory is that it has something to do with my blood circulation because of the different positions my legs are in when I sit in the comfy chair as opposed to the office chair at the desk. I don’t know. I can’t explain it but when I sit in the office chair my eyesight gets darker and yellowy faster. Less so in the comfy chair. So I want to keep sitting down there.

And I just had to rewrite all that because my computer BSODed before I saved. Now it’s late and I’m tired. Think woolly thoughts think woolly thoughts think woolly thoughts .

Well, I’ll try this again. I’d typed in a few sentences and then they were gone!

It’s been odd weather here. It was 72 F (22 C) on Tuesday and very nice. Then today it was cooler and it actually rained! Now it is windy and down to 48 F (8 C) and we might even get SNOW tomorrow.

I’m not ready for such extremes. The goatzies may have their winter coats, but I don’t have mine out yet. They don’t like this wind either.

They were basking goatzies on Tuesday with the nice warm sun. Nothing like a warm, sleepy goat to make you smile.

I hope you had a lovely Halloween, even if just virtually. My rocked!

And thanks a lot, it’s 1:13 pm in NYC and I’m now thinking woolly thoughts. And thinking about the injustices committed against goats. Hm, I don’t know if I should nap with those thoughts in my head!

Debster – OH 22C I wish I could have that. 8C is about what we have now. Colder at night. Brrr, I need a winter coat too. MAybe one for the goats too.

Magaly Guerrero – Why thank you, it was quite alright. Not as interesting as yours I bet.
I’m quite fond of woolly thouhts. Too bad they don’t keep me warm at night.
