The Little Goat Who Could

Another day with mamma Mio and her girl. When I got there they were outside. Per came over and asked if I’d taken them out. But no, they’d gone out on their own. Only two days old and already going outside. What a brave little girl. She was much livelier today too. Bouncing around like a goat kid should. Great to see. And she was drinking from momma. Maybe not as much as you’d expect, but she did get in there. And they both seem happy and healthy. Although Mio is still quite nervous. Lots of little worried sounds and constantly checking on her baby.

So now all that remains is a bunch of new pictures.

She’s already sniffing at things and was even nibbling a tiny bit at my jacket. Too small to be eating solids, but she’ll get there.

And there’s always momma’s milk.

Bodil came by too. She offered to take some pictures of me with the goats. She noticed I had gotten a new camera and she was praising the model a lot. I think it’s a really nice camera. Easier to use. And I have decided to post pictures in higher resolution. Of course that’ll only make a difference if you click on them to see the fullsize versions. Anyway, here are some of the pictures that Bodil took.

Just Mio and me.

And also a couple taken with the selftimer. It has a selftimer function that fires off 10 shots in a row. That’s pretty handy. Instead of having to set the timer for every picture you can set it once and get 10 pictures and hopefully one or two will have the goats and the human behaving properly for the picture.

You can see the dark patch down by her leg there. Almost like a little half-belt.

And a couple of Preben, the daddyo.

He came up to the fence to look in on his little girl. And to this guy too.

And here he is with me. Him and Bob kept poking their heads in to see if there were any treats or scratchies to be had.

There we have Bob at the fence. He’s almost small enough to get through. But not quite.

That’s all folks. Hope you enjoyed. Video coming soon probably.

Oh such sweet goatzies – mama and baby. And who is that handsome guy with them? Hee, hee

And no, I don’t mean Preben the goat.
