Moving Goats

Catching up on some videos today. Ere we go.

First off a lovely video of Mio’s baby standing on my back. Jumping on my back. Climbing on my back. Sliding down from my back. And jumping on my back again. I finally got her to stand up there. It’s always one of my favourite things to do with goat kids.

The baby eating raisins and shrubbery. And hats. And Mio jumping over the fence while she’s still leashed.

A shorter one. Mio spotted something, probably a dangerous landcat, and started snorting and sneezing the warning signals. And then her baby sneezed too. I’m not sure if she was trying to emulate her mother’s warning signals. Or if it was just… a sneeze.

Bob is almost as big as Kamel now, and they are still trying to sort out who is highest on the hierarchy. Plus more fun with the baby as she tries to jump up on my knee to get at my hat. And at the end you can see the goats enjoying some apples that a guy threw into the fold for them.

That’s all. Catch the next showing at 15 pm eastern central time.

I will have to watch your videos tomorrow. I’m just too tired, it’s late, and the coyotes are howling outside – as we live in the middle of nowhere!

We did trim the donkey’s hooves the other day (what were we thinking?) So now she has pretty feet. I have a black and blue bruise on my right foot where the donkey stepped on me!

I also figured out how to take the back panel off the dryer so we could vacuum out any lint that escaped the easily removed lint trap.

It’s just amazing the things you can find out how to do yourself when you look on youtube. Now I need to find the “How to Make a Million Dollars in Your Spare Time” youtube video.

Debster – Did the donkey howl like a coyote? I remember once when Magnethe had her hooves trimmed and she yowled the most terrifying yowl. And Alice came in and said “who was thath?!”. Oh my.
I hope you can learn something useful from my goat videos!

Hey my darling. I would update. I really, really want to, in fact. But I have a new computer and have forgot my password and when I request it be sent to me, nothing happens – and in all my years on Diaryland, I’ve never succeeded in getting any kind of help from Andrew despite being a paying member. I am SO upset about it all, actually.

BUT! I have a baby boy! Big, fat healthy boy called Hamlet. He was delivered by cesarian section on July 28th 2012 at 14:00 weighing a whopping 4630 gr and measuring 55 cms. He’s now 8 weeks old and thriving – has passed 6.5 kilo all on his mother’s lush milk! He is the most contended and placid little guy ever. Sleeps at night, eats at day, smiles, and hardly ever cries. Such an easy baby. A completely different experience than the last one…

Speaking of ARthur, you’d be so proud! He’s a true little warrior with a massive, big heart full of justice. It’s hard to be so naughty and so good all at the same time. He tries so hard, but sometimes, the Dark Side prevails. But then he gives himself a time out and comes back with a disarming smile.

Raven started at school in April. A few teething problems. Some mean girls and bullying, but we’re getting there. She’s (dare I say obviously) very bright and doing well “academically” and the school (a friskole, of course) has not taken lightly our concerns about her social welfare, and have been extremely vigilant and had many talks with the girls about how to talk to one another and how to play nicely and include everyone. Raven was the only girl starting this year, so it was obviously going to be hard finding a space in a group of 4 girls. But it’s better now. And she does love school. Maths especially. Crazy kid. ;)

But yeah, if I ever manage to log into diaryland again, I will update. Big sadness in my heart losing access to my diary over 10 years. Big boo to Andrew.

Hugs to you and thanks for thinking of me. FOr what it’s worth, you are also very much in my thoughts. x

Desiree – I’m so glad everything is okay! Sorry to hear about your diary though. That really sucks. What a shame. All that history you have in that place. Are you writing anyplace new or not at all anymore?
Delightful to hear about the family though and the new little one! He sounds like a charming little fellow. Princely even! And it sounds like Arthur and Raven are as wonderful as ever. I am really glad to hear that too. I can’t believe it’s been so long since I had an update! I hope they will all have much happiness to come. And you adults too! Big hugs!
