Picket Fences

It’s been a pretty quiet week. No hurricanes or disease cures. Just cold temperatures and good goat times.

We got a fence around the goat pen again. There’s a new guy working at the playground. Haven’t quite caught his name or if he’ll be staying. But he seemed handy with a saw and the tools. Didn’t take him long to get the fence up. It wasn’t very secure at first, though. Mia soon managed to squeeze through the bottom gap. But I think they have secured the holes now. And the hole from the big tree that fell in the storm has been filled. Things are pretty much back to normal I think.

But that’s about all. Back to boring old times! At least we have goat pictures. So, cue the goat pictures.

A bit of sun for Mia.

Palle, Mia and Kamel. And if you look close there might be a hint of Mio.

All the goats are lined up at the new fence, ready to be served.

Another funny face from Kamel!

Sweet Mia.

Sweet time.

Sweet indeed.

And a goatlog. With lots of fun playing around inside and out.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

I see Mio’s tail at the edge of the picture! Circus goats on a stool. Now you just need to get them rotating in a circle while standing on the stool. Of course, you would have to get up on the stool and show them how to do it. Hee, hee.

Kamel inquires: “Does this photo make my nose look big?” No, Kamel, your nose is just perfect.

Palle’s getting a bit “bucky”, isn’t he? Has he been fixed? Naughty, naughty boy.

We’ve been visiting the farm that has the miniature donkeys and their babies. They have four babies and we knew they had found homes for them all locally (hooray). But it was still sad to see only three of them left this week. I imagine they will all go to their new homes by the end of the month.

I just couldn’t raise baby donkeys or goatzies. I’d want to keep all of them. These four are really socialized and friendly, so they will make a nice pet for their owners.

They’ve been around us, the owners, some of the owner’s grandkids, a dog, etc., so hopefully they will fit right in to their new homes.

The donkeys have the cutest little faces (next to baby goatzie faces, of course) and they like scratches and ear rubs. They are starting to lose some of their long, fluffy baby hair so they look sort of funny with long, long hair under their cheeks and neck!

Oh, no. It’s a goat feeding frenzy at the last of your video. I think I see the rare goat-n-sharken approaching.

*Cue “Jaws” soundtrack* Get out of the hay, get out of the hay! The dreaded goat-n-sharken is coming! Get out of . . . .

I think -I- would end up being the circus act, trying to get goats to do as I say. That never ends well!
Palle has been fixed yes. But I guess a little of the instinct still remains! Mia isn’t too happy about it when it happens!
Aw, baby miniature donkeys. That does sound adorable. I wonder if I could convince the playground to get some of those… Good thing I know someone who can come and trim the hooves§!
