The Rain In Denmark

Good news from the playground this week. The place won’t be closing. It’s almost for sure now. Apparently there was a big crisis meeting of politicians and everyone agreed that closing the playgrounds would be nuts and it’s been in the papers now so it would be hard to go back on that. Keep your fingers crossed. But it should be okay. What a relief.

Another nice thing was seeing Per again. He stopped working at the playground quite a while ago. But he’s back. Temporarily. Until he finds something else. He seemed glad to see me, and I know I’m happy he’s around again. It’s nice having someone with experience of the place. He was already busy fixing things and such. Good guy.

We had a rainy day too. Mio and Herman ended up in the little playhouse together. That was quite amusing. Bodil remarked “there isn’t enough room for any funny business in there, is there?”. Nope. Mio isn’t running away from him much anymore. Just the little worried bleats when he’s near. I didn’t think she would stay in the playhouse with him, but I guess it was better than being in the rain!

Other than that, it’s pretty much business as usual. The weather slowly warming and the ribs doing fine. Aaand. Goats.

Sweet Mia.

Kamel sniffing the camera.

That’s about as close as she ever gets to getting up on the wooden staircases. Gravity always wins!

She’s a sweetheart, though.

So is Mia.

Heellooouw!

What you got there?

Precious.

Hello, my name is Lasse and I have a coconut oil addiction. Amazon decided to discontinue their Free Super Saver Delivery to mainland Europe, including Denmark. It really sucks because I order a lot of stuff from amazon. I complained about it to their support and they gave me free shipping for one more order. So I ordered 10 tins of coconut oil. It’ll have to last a long time, because shipping is really expensive there now. Dang.

Feeding time for the goats. They prefer hay to coconut oil.

Herman standing in the wheelbarrow.

And a goatlog. Lots of rain and hay. I especially like Mia jumping into the wheelbarrow and then having to jump right out again. Whoopsie.

And that’s all for this hat, see you in the next folk song.

Hooray! Good to hear the powers that be have changed their minds about the playground closing. I think it adds so much to people’s lives to be outside and around animals.

Especially if you live in a city or apartment and can’t have a large pet like a goatzie or a horse.

Nice to hear Per is back as well. Hope is he doing fine and you and the goats get to spend some time with him.

Of course, my reply wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t mention we had SNOW flurries on Monday! The ground was too warm, so nothing accumulated – thank goodness.

I’m tired of cold weather. There are daffodils and tulips coming up and I don’t want them frosted before they bloom.

What do you use the coconut oil for? Is it a body or hand lotion? Or do you cook with it? I don’t know much about coconut oil, but you must really like it for whatever you use it for.

it definitely adds a lot to mine! What a relief. Per seemed to be doing well. Lots of stuff to work on at the playground. The place needs some fixing up! I can’t believe yuo still get snow, haha! It’s been a summery weekend here. I’m so glad the winter is over. Not to make you jealous or anything!
I use the coconut oil for cooking and just for eating. I started getting it because I was told about various health benefits from it, but I like the taste so much that now I just enjoy it for that alone. Good stuff.
