Sunshots And Rainshowers

It’s been a pretty good, little week. Kamel is doing well. The goat kids are growing and full of fun. September has turned to October, but the weather is almost summery at times. I spent one rainy day inside with the goats, but other than that it’s been lazily lounging in the pen in sunshine. I think I took myself a little 5 minute nap when I was sitting with Bruce in my lap and Clark next to us on the bench. Lazy goats and lazy humans. I think the weather shall take a turn for the worse next week. But I have enjoyed the little post-summer warmth.

Got back to training Bruce and Clark in the back-jumping field of excellence. I had started just before Kamel got sick, so I had to abandon it. But they’re just the right age for it now. Quick learners. A little slice of raisin always helps things along too. It’s still so much fun having goat kids jumping around on my back. Love it. And they seem to enjoy it too.

In other news, I got a new camera. The old one got a big spot on the internal sensor. That can’t be cleaned. So, a new toy for me. It has a little less zoom but more megapixels. And we all know more megapixels mean better pictures. FACT. Luckily I still have the great subjects. No one gets tired of goat photos, right? Right?! Right.

And since I’m late and it’s tired I think we’ll just go to the products of the new camera. Goat photo phun.

Starting with another attempt at funnymemes. Celebrating World Animal Day, yesterday.

And then a couple of October morning sunshots.

And a picture from when Kamel was sick. I took lots of pictures and video of her because I was really afraid she would die. But then on the other hand I have video from Magnethe’s last days and I can’t bear to watch that. But I’m just glad Kamel is doing well now. Long may it last.

Little Bruce.

Trying to eat my finger.

Mighty Herman.

Kamel all better.

Better not be an empty hand this time!

Mia.

And Mia.

Palle hanging out.

Sitting with Bruce.

Release me, human!

And some more Kamel shots.

The princess and I.

Bruce on the bench.

Sweet Clark of Mio’s.

Herman of the blue skies.

Herman the twain-eared.

I wonder what Herman is doing here. And I wonder what Kamel thinks about it…
It’s amusing when Herman starts putting the moves on Kamel. She complains and runs away. Too bad she can’t get pregnant. Although maybe it’s for the best, if she’s not strong enough for it.

I missed that goofy look.

Looks like Mio has taught Bruce and Clark how to stand at the fence and scout for humans.

And finally the #Palleface.

And a goatlog. With a little rain and shine. And a lot of goats.

And that’s all for this week, folks. C U in the next 1.

Nice camera. How did you pick one that only takes goat pictures? Hee, hee.

Pretty fall colors on your trees. Ours are starting to turn colors and are falling into the yard. The animals eat them as soon as they hit the ground.

Glad to hear Kamel is on the mend. Poor girl, I hope she stays in good health.

Those baby goatzies are just growing and growing. Such cute little pink noses and little horn buds . . . sigh . . . I want to cuddle a baby goat.

It seems to happen to all the cameras I get! Fallen leaves are great for the goats. When we let Kamel out of the pen to get some peace to eat on her own, she usually heads for the apple trees and go looking for fallen apples. Mmm! She seems to be doing really well now, thankfully.
