Shunshine

Where did the sun go? Booh hiss. Spring is on break. The lovely sunny days have been replaced by overcast and intermittens cold. It’s not the same. It’s just not the same.

But hopefully the sun will be back soon. I’m no fortune teller or meteorologist but it seems likely.

The goats are all good. I tried out a new treat for them this week. Peanut butter! Both Kamel, Mia and Palle has had a taste. It’s sticky and takes lots of chewing. Which looks quite amusing. And tasty! I could watch them chew it for ages.

Peanut and Popcorn have been playing together more. I think Popcorn is getting a little more confident. He can challenge Peanut better. It’s good to see them interact and play. And have fun. Sweet, little goat boys. Popcorn loves to climb around on me and play with me. Peanut is more independent and wants to run around and get food with the big goats. He’s not much of a lap goat anymore. While Popcorn can just sit and relax in the lap. They’re quite different, but compliment each other well. They keep a smile on my face.

And that’s probably about it. Not much going on. Just waiting for the sun and the fun. Go go goat photos.

And a goatlog. With peanut butter and more.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

That settles it. I’m coming to your house for peanut butter and crackers! I like the smooth, creamy kind. Not the crunchy type – the goats can have that kind!

Dogs and peanut butter are fun to watch, too. I might have to try some pb on the boys. Snickers can’t have peanuts, so we will have to separate them.

We had rain on Saturday, but it was nice and sunny today and much warmer. It was almost cold yesterday.

What was poor Mia baaing and carrying on about? She acted like she was missing someone and wanted them to hurry back.

No hummingbirds yet. They seem to be avoiding our area till it gets a bit warmer. Smart little birdies.

I don’t see how you can get pictures of the goatzies with their mouths open. They must be very talkative goats!

The hummingbird has arrived. I am so excited to see him. He visited the nectar feeder several times late this afternoon.

Snickers got her donkey shots this morning. She was a very good girl. My husband had her halter on and had her tied up so the vet could give her the shots. A few treats seemed to take her mind off the whole process.

We had the goats in the other pen, so when they were released, the two of them made a bee-line over to me in case there might be some treats for them. They received treats just because they are so cute! And they didn’t even have to get a shot to get a treat.
