Summer Winds Down

It’s been a lovely, mostly sunny week. Warm and summery. I think that’s about over now, though. At least temperatures above 20C. But it’s been good and I’ve enjoyed sitting in the sun with the goats, listening to them devour the green buffet. I almost can’t stand the thought of the days getting darker and colder. But winter is a while away at least.

Otherwise, not much new really. Just doing the do, as we do. Waiting for news about Peanut and Popcorn. Those lovely boys. Probably won’t be long now. We’ll see, we’ll see.

That’s all, that it is.

And videos.

Phew. And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

Are Popcorn and Peanut going someplace else now? I will miss seeing them on your blog. They are quite a pair of goatzies.

We restocked our hay supply for the animals. They were sure interested when the hay wagon arrived and parked near their pen. Billy was really intrigued. I think he wanted the wagon to park just a wee bit closer to the fence! Can’t … reach … hay!

The hummingbirds are starting to migrate. All our males disappeared and it was a few days before we started seeing both males and females. We have also been watching for the orange and black Monarch butterflies. We have been seeing a few more each day.

I’m not looking forward to winter either. It has been cooler this week, but I think hotter temps are in store again for us next week. Our cherry tomatoes are just starting to ripen again. We had a bunch of them a couple of weeks ago. They are sure good.

I should be getting news about Peanut and Popcorn soon. Tomorrow in fact. Probably. We shall see.
Maybe I’ll migrate if the weather gets too cold!
