Look at all the littles sitting together. Milo and Sky side by side of course. I’m surprised they sat that close to Sassy. Only missing Lily, who’s inside in the shadows.

Here’s something funny that happened just before Gabi and family arrived on Saturday. A mother (I think) and a couple of kids were coming towards the goats. But then the kids got a bit scared and started running away. The goats blocked this girls way… so she went to the kindergarten fence and climbed over it to get to safety! Haha. I was impressed. I never though I’d see someone climb that fence. Good thing she managed to escape the vicious goats of doom.

Currently reading a Robin Williams biography. A great read. And it’s fascinating to live in a time when you can read about his horrible obscure film debut, and then go look it up on the youtubes.

Hey everyone. If you’re wondering where I’ve been… I had a catastrophic computer meltdown. It is gone. Currently at my parents place. To update the facebox. And look at buying a new computer.
This is really bad. You have no idea. I can’t deal with this stuff. I am stressed and depressed beyond belief.
I’ve been wanting a new computer, and I can afford a new computer. But it’s going to be impossible to get things back to normal. I have so many special settings and programs and stuff, recreating that will be a nightmare. Problably impossible. I don’t even know if you can run Windows 7 on modern computers. And even if you can W7 is retired next January, I really ough to go Windows 10 now. But that’s a whole new nightmare. And I’d just rather die than deal with all this.
Haha, let me be overdramatic. I need to let off the steam. A month from now this will be the past and everything will be fine. Right now i’m just very sad.
At least data loss should be minimal, because I keep good backups. I may lose a few goat videos from the last week. But most of it is fine.
I just can’t handle change. I need routine and predictability. I was supposed to be having fun with goats, not dealing with this. It’s just a stark reminder of how fragile my little dumb life is, with the computer out I’m bombed back to complete isolation. Spent all yesterday working on the computer. Not sure exactly what the issue is, but it is completely fatal.
Anyway. I guess I gotta go computer shopping now. Not sure when I will be back. I do have a cheap Windows 10 test system at home. I abandoned it because W10 is an abomination and I just can’t with that. I don’t even know if it boots anymore, but maybe I can get online with that somehow. Otherwise I’ll have to wait for a new pc. Probably. I don’t know. I just want to sleep and hope it all goes away. Thans for listening, love you, hope you’re all doing fine. See you on the other side.

Hey everyone. Back at my parents place for a little update.
Got my cheap Windows 10 test system up and running. I wasn’t sure it would work. It’s a cheap refurbished demo model. Bought it a year ago. Booting it literally once, was so disgusting with Windows 10 that I never booted it again. But it still runs. I spent time yesterday looking through settings, trying to fix some of the worst privacy and accessibility issues. Later today I will try hooking it up to the interwebs. In theory it oughta work. Although I’m a little worried that when I connect online windows update will want to install years worth of updates, ruining my settings, killing everything, maybe it’ll insist on activation since it’s not activated yet. But in theory I should be able to get online at home later today. We’ll see.
Meanwhile, I have started inquiries on getting a new computer. To be honest I’m a little excited about getting a new, better computer. And I guess I’ll have to get on Windows 10 sooner or later. Maybe it’s time to just… let go. Stop worrying so much about privacy and security. Just let Windows handle it. Let Microsoft pwn me and suckle at my information teats.
We’ll see. I’m in dialogue with a webshop, trying to get an idea of how to put together the best system for me.
I might consider getting a tech guy out to look at my Win7 pc. But the very idea revolts me. And I’m not sure it’s worth it. It’s old a nd failing in many ways, and Windows 7 expires in January. I was kinda planning on just keeping Windows 7 even though it wouldn’t get security updates anymore. But at this point… all things point at biting the bullet and going Windows 10, with a new swanky fast silent energy saving pc. I do like that idea. I will do more testing on my test system. Seeing if I can get the programs and features I depend on working there. So I can feel confident about updating.
I’m going to go read comments, sort some things, look some stuff up, check my email to see if the webshop replies. Thank you for paying attention to me, I know all our lives revolve around me me me!
ps still reading Robin Williams biography. Did you know he was offered the role of the Joker in the Batman movie, that went to Nicholson? Imagine a Robin Williams Joker.. that’d be interesting.

Hey folks. Just a quick update.
Before I get into rambling, I want to make sure to express my grattitude. Thanks you alls. I appreciate you. It means a lot to me that so many good people choose to be part of my life. I really feel the absence of you all when I’m cut off from the webs.
So I just wanted to make sure to tell you that.
It’s scary that there is a part of me that could see the appeal of isolation again. Sitting in front of the tv, zapping through channels. That could be my life again. Watching tv all day, no interaction with anyone, eating unhealthy, dying alone and forgotten. It’s an empty life, but empty is easy. So easy. Once you start filling your life it gets complicated and harder. I don’t know how you people with real lives and kids and mortgages and cars and investment portfolios deal with it all. Anyway. I am glad I don’t have to take the isolation again. Even though it’s easy, it’s also very sad. I am so glad you guys are out there to complicate my life. I am so glad I get the chance to make people smile with the goats, being part of good communities, good friends. Thank you.
Now, I am going to head off to see the goats. The other complications. I seriously need some goat time. If you know the feeling of goat therapy you know how the bad stuff just melts away. I need that right now. A head full of worry and pain. I just need a little break.
So today is goat day. Later it’s the Danish cup final in soccerball and my club is taking part. So I’ll watch that and then probably go to bed early and try to dream away worries as well. Then the weekend I will spend testing the Win 10 tester machine. Trying to get everything that I need to work working. Getting used to stuff. Settings. Programs. Getting the machine online. And if all goes well, I hope to order a new computer Monday or Tuesday. Then there will be 1-3 days for deliver. And maybe a couple of days more to setup the new pc before I take it online. I hope maybe to be back to a new normal at the end of next week. I’m not in that much of a hurry. I want to make sure I get it right. The new computer should hopefully outlive me. I’m paranoid about forking it up and making expensive mistakes. So, I’ll take my time. Hopefully I’ll be able to get the tester machine online tomorrow so I can be somewhat online during the week.
So yeah, that’s the plan. Wish me luck. I’ll tell the goats you all miss them too, right?
Shoutout to my parents for letting me crash their place and use their computer. Their computer is an old Windows 7 system of mine. It is chugging along and I can feel it needs replacement too. If I manage to get along with Windows 10 somewhat, maybe I’ll buy my parents a new Win10 PC and set it up for them as a thank you for all they do.
PS. Last night I dreamt of a huge apartment block with windows full of people dressed completely in black. And I was joking with someone that wouldn’t it be funny if it was a building completely full of Zorros? ok.

Hey everyone. I’m online at home. Woop woop. That wasn’t too hard, I have been spending the last couple of days testing the Windows 10 test system. Pouring through settings, getting my programs ported from the old computer. So far things are going fairly well. Most of the stufff I need to work is working. Some fine tuning is still required, but I’m cautiously optimistic. Now I need to test the stuff that requires an internet connected to work. I’ll get started on that shortly, and my hope is that if things keep going well then I’ll put in the order for the new PC tonight. Hooves crossed all goes well. And now that I have a computer online at home I can start to feel a little connected to the world again. I won’t be online as normal just yet, though. This chair, this keyboard, this monitor, the glare from the sun. It’s not very comfortable to sit here and compute. But I can check in while I’m doing more testing. And I should put up a goat post on Mia’s page too.
So far things are going according to plan. Here’s to hoping it will continue. Talk to you soon.

Thanks everyone for being totes hawsome! I am lucky to know such good people. Again, I am thankful that you complicate my life with your human beings. For humans, you’re pretty neat. Looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.
I tell you what, I am really glad I have this test computer too. It seemed like a waste of money at the time. Booted it once, was so disgusted with Windows 10 that for the next year it stood untouched in the windowsill like a millenial house plant or art decor. Haha. But it has helped me so much that I’ve had it now. I feel better about having to get on Windows 10 now. Even though there are lots of issues and lots of stuff that I’ll have to get used to. But I’m feeling better about, and more confident that I can make stuff work. So that’s good.
It’s exciting to get a new computer, but It’s also scary because it’s such a big purchase. I’m just worried about things going wrong. But hopefully it will go fine.
I know it’s silly, but I’m actually quite excited about naming my new computer and hard drives and all. My old Windows 7 computer was Lost themed. The computer was named Smokey, “this computer” was named “the island”, the C drive was Jacob, I had a J drive named Jack, an L drive named Locke, my main working drive was the Swan station and most of my external backup drives were named after Dharma stations, the Lamp Post, The Flame, etc. I enjoyed that.
I was considering having my new computer be Middle-earth themed. Name everything after dwarves, elves and hobbits. But on second thought, I am going with one of my oldest loves. Star Wars. Can you guess what I’m going to call my new computer? I’ll give you a hint. It’s a green model. Energy efficient. What’s a green Star Wars model? Yoda, of course. My new computer is going to be called Yoda. And “This computer” will be called A Galaxy Far Far Away. And my C drive shal be Coruscant. And D will be Dagobah. And E wil be Endor. And I need a Tatooine drive on T:. My internet connection sthall be called The Force, because everything flows through the force.
Mwaha. I know it’s sad, but this amuses me. Please don’t fork it up for me, unirverse. Maybe the force be with this computer.

‘s done. I have ordered my new PC. It’s scary and exciting. Wish me luck!
Yoda, the elte green model PC, is a pretty beefy beast. Although getting a new beefy PC is less fun when you’re not a gamer anymore. I remember when I ordered my Windows 7 PC. It was state of the art and it could run Oblivon at full top specs awyeah.
My new computer is not a gaming rig, but for my needs it’s a pretty good model. And I’m happy that it’s a green model. It’ll be 3-4 days at least before I get it, and probably a couple more before I’m ready to really use it fully. But we’re on our way.

Good goat times today. So good. When I went on Friday it was a rainy day. Good company, but not as fun. Today was lovely, warm and sunny. I think it was past 20C/70F which is what I consider summerly. And everything is green now, so the goats enjoy being let out. They were a little nervous this morning though. Kids were marching by on the path beside their pen, and they were making lots of noise. I think they were blowing whistles. And there was someone with a loudspeaker somewhere chanting. I think it was some kind of fitness day. So I didn’t get my usual braying greeting from Mia. She was closely watching the path. She didn’t come running to me until I whistled for her and indicated I came bearing treats. That’s did the trick.
It was all good once we got out in the greens, though. Beautiful weather, tasty vegetation. Fun visitors too. Some kids had fun running arond with the goats. One boy got the goats to jump up on the blue scene and then rain around screaming “WELCOME TO THE GOAT SHOW” over and over. Haha. And they all were very impresed when Nuller jumped up on my back. He’s not too big for that yet. He is big, though. And when I’m only wearing a t-shirt… those hooves dig in. But he’s so persistent. I feel like I’m being kamikazied by little goats.
Later on, all the goats were panting in he warm sun. Had to refill the water bucket a couple of times.

I haven’t exercised in probably almost two weeks now because of everything that’s been going on. I suppose I oughta get to it now.
No news about the new PC. I’m hoping they can have it ready and ship it by tomorrow, but no guarantee of that. I should have paid extra to make it an express order haha. But at least I got this test system so I can stil bother people with too many words.
I dreamt it snowed inside and the ice and snow formed weird spontaneous sculptures, I’m pretty sure at least one pictured Mia. I also had a Twin Peaks dream in wich Leland crashed his car into a building to kill himself and someone.. evil.. inside. And then someone introduced Gerard Depardieu, but I woke up before I could find out what Gerard Depardieu was doing in Twin Peaks. I guess my mind was mixing him up with Phillip Gerard? I don’t know.
You’re welcome. I guess I should exercise. Probably.

Currently watching Aladdin. For the first time ever with English audio. Well, I have watched the big Robin Williams scenes in English on the tubes. But I have never watched the whole movie in English before. The Danish version won the Disney prize for best foreign dub and the Danish voices are really great. It’s odd seeing the characters speak in different voices. I must admit I prefer the Danish Aladdin.. and the Danish genie is really really great too. But of course, you can’t beat Robin.
Aladdin was the last Disney movie cartoon I ever watched, before falling away from the world. I may give Lion King a go later. Suppose I oughta give Frozen a whirl sooner or later too. Not too fond of the cgi cartooneries though. Anyway, back to Aladdin.

Apparently there was a delay in getting a part for my new computer, and now the store is expecting to ship it out tomorrow so I’ll have it in the beginning of next week. That’s annoying. I was hoping and expecting to get it today or tomorrow. I’m getting tired of this moving from the tv to the test system and not feeling comfortable. But it’s no disaster. I will bear my burden with a smile, not all heroes wear capes etc. Better it is done well than fast.
Suppose I’ll go exercise. Unless someone can come up with a rason for me now to? GO TEAM GO

Back from the eye doctor. Half-yearly checkup. I have been feeling like my eyesight has gotten a little bit wose, but the eye doc could not detect any change and everything looks stable. So that’s good.
My new computer is scheduled to arrive “later today”. But there has been a development..
You’re never going to believe it. Haha. I have fixed my Windows 7 computer. It seems to be working. Oh lord. I’d been getting constant bluescreen errors and a lot of them had to do with memory. I have 16 gb in it, 4 blocks of 4. So I’d taken the blocks out one by one to test if one of them was faulty. With no luck. And I’d run memtest which came up with 100% errors on everything. So I thought, there’s no way ALL four blocke of memory stopped working at the same time. That’s statitically unlikely. I figured it had to be something else, like the motherboard. Something that was accessing the memory. Not the memory itself. Well, just for fun, while waiting for my new PC to get here, I ordered a new block of RAM. And put it in the PC. And it forking works. For forks sake. If I’d just called for a tech visit they would have fixed that in no time. Haha. I could have saved myself so much time and trouble. And money.
But that being said, I am still excited to get a new PC. Later today or tomorrow. The old Wind7 PC still has a number of annoyances and will be out of date soon. So, I’m still going to go ahead with the new PC and Windows 10. But hey, now there’s less pressure. If I make some mistake or there’s some problem with the new PC, I’ll still have the old one. And I’ll be able to go back and forth to try and get the enw one to wlook and work like the old one as much as possible. It’ll be easier to port settings and stuff. It makes me feel pretty dumb, but it’s still better to have the Windows 7 PC back than if I didn’t.
Now it’s just wo wait until the new PC arrives and until my eyedrops wear off so I can see anything

I got my new computer! And my old computer still works! Haha. So it goes.
But now there’s less rush to get the new one set up. Hopefully it will all work fine.
I am going to relax a little now. And then I’m going to order pizza. Because I am stressed. And because I am planning to start a new diet in a day or two. So one last junk food outing before that. (disclaimer I will probably be buying more junk food two days into the diet because I have the self control of a … thing that has no self control and can’t think of methaphors).
Anyway, so far so good.

Got my new computer hooked up with the cables and all. I am scared to turn it on. Haha. Can you tell I’m a worrier? So far everything has gone according to plan. Shoutout to my dad for helping me pick it up at the delivery point. In turn I was able to help him book hotel tickets for him and mum in Vilnius for an upcoming vacation. So that worked out well.
Suppose I gotta go turrn on the yoda. Hope it is strong in the force. Amd then spend the night setting everything up before putting it online. Perhaps it’ll be all set up and done tomorrow. Or maybe I’ll take another day doing it. It is quite stressful for the worrying mind, and I want to get it right.

So far everything is going according to plan with the new computer. Man, there’s so much junk on a new Windows 10 installation, and so many settings all over the place. Modern computing is rubbish. Give me my XP back. Heck, give me my Commodore 64 back. You kids get off my lawn. When I was a kid I had to mow and fertilize the lawn before I got off it etc.

Good goat times today. Had to take a break from the computing and go out on the town with my goat pals. Not the best weather, but at least it stayed dry and we did have some nice sunny spells. Looks like this summer won’t be as scorching as last year’s. I KNEW it, global warming is a hoax. I’m going to go tell all the cows that they can start farting again.
Anyway. Lots of fun with the goaties. We went out and entertained at the kindergarten fence. Nelly and a bunch of little ones picked branches and leaves and fed the goats through the fence. I’m not sure who was more excited, the goats or the kids. Okay it was the goats. And some older kids with adults came by and stopped and had fun with the goats. Just as they were leaving again Nuller jumped up on my back. He knows how to put on a good show. Everyone was quite amazed and a couple of kids were petting him as he stood on my back. Funtimes for all.

I will literally paypal you 50 American Dollars if you can tell me how to stop the big thumbnail appearing when you drag files and other things on Windows 10. Jesus Christ, did they not test this in high contrast and high dpi? That giant thumbnail literally obscures where you’re trying to drag the file to.
Thank heavens for the google, it has helped me come up with lots of solutions to lots of little (and big) problems. But this seems to be a hardcoded thing that can’t be changed. Even if you turn off thumbnails you just get a big square icon instead. Useless.
Other than that things are progressing well. Almost everything is going as it should and most things are set up. Tomorrow I should be ready to import my data from backups and then I’ll be ready to goat. And ready to spend too much time on Facebook again. I hope you’re enjoying the vacation, I’ll be EXTRA annoying when I’m back to full speed.

The great reimportation of data has begun. Terabytes of data. I am taking the chance to restructure it all. It’s like when you have a closet that you have been putting things into for years. Came across this. I mean. That would be pretty perfect for my Yoda machine, wouldn’t it? I’ll need to get it in photoshop and darken it. I need a very dark background, as any light disturbs my vision. Other changes due to the new computer.. changing resolution from 1280×1024 to 1600×1024. So, higher resolution. Had to increase the system DPI a little too, to compensate. We’ll see how it works out. So now I have to piece it all together, try to figure out what is lost, what has already been posted, what needs to go in what folder. Oh dear! It’ll be nice when it’s all done.
Livin’ it up for the weekend yall

Grumble. Having a problem with MP3 encoding in VirtualDub. WAIT DONT GO. I’ll spare you the details. But I kinda have to fix this before I can get started on editing mybacklog of goat videos. Suppose I could go with AAC audio, but I’d really like to keep doing things the same way as on the old system. Computers, nothing but trouble I tellsya.
