Freezer
Good goat times today. Dragged myself out into the cold again. We’ve had a bit more snow, but not too much. But we’ve had rain and freezing. So it’s a lot more icy now. Difficult to walk around in, where it’s not cleared. And a horrible cold wind. Right in the facepie. Temperature was -2C/28F, but I don’t know what the windchill was. Brutally cold. Jeanette said my face was all red when I got here. I’d had tears streaming down my face too, it was not fun. And I was feeling tired and hurting, and out of breath. I had to sit on a bench halfway to the playground to take a break in the walk, I don’t usually have to do that. It wasn’t a fun morning.
But much better when I was with the goats. Out of the wind. Having fun. We even got sunshine later in the day.
The goats did some fun running around. I think Bella did one of her super twists again, I’ll have to check the footage later, but it looked like she was spinning around fast again.
We had several groups of visitors too. One group that recognised me and knew my name and had stuff to tell me. And another group had never been there before and they were asking, what even is this place. And Jeanette told them all about it and took them around to see the animals. She is always great with visitors. And the goats got petted and snacksed.
Now I am home and ready for soup. Aching body. It always takes a lot out of me just to get out in the real world, but in these conditions it’s even worse. Hopefully it won’t take me a week to recover again, but right now I feel like I’d lose a boxing match with a mouse.

Well would you look at that. We got all three goats out at the far end of the big pen today. I was kind of shocked when Sky came running out with us. She mostly stays up on the goat house hill and just bleats at us when we go into the bigger pen. MAYBE she’ll come down to get some treats and then go back on the hill. But today we got all three out on the far side. Maybe it was because the snow was more icy now, a bit easier to walk in for her I think. But still surprising.

Hey hey! Thank you very much to Debbie Wilkins and Elisabeth Smith for the lovely cards! It’s like Christmas come very very very (…) very early! Haha. To be fair, we had the holidays and a giant snowstorm and the postal service only delivers mail to us twice a week, so chances of being late are always good. Got a Pepsi delivery scheduled for tomorrow.
Just saw there’s a new snowstorm coming and the policy is warning unneccessary driving tomorrow. FFFFFF ork.
Well, it doesn’t look like it will be as big as the huge one we just had. And obviously my Pepsi delivery is very very necessary.
Hooves crossed it’ll get here. I did get a text earlier from the company giving an expected delivery time, so they must be planning to deliver.
Can we has spring soon?

Huzzah! I got my Pepsi delivery. The drought is averted.
I got a text message about an hour before the scheduled delivery and I immediately thought “Oh no, is this the cancellation?”. But it was just an advisory that they were ‘facing challenges due to the weather’ and my delivery could be up to half an hour late. Turns out they made it just within the original timeframe they’d given. And I got my load of pepsi and flourballs, plus some other assorted stuff.
So that’s a relief. Not that I couldn’t have survived if it had been cancelled, but more because that would mean I’d probably have to deal with customer service and stuff. I prefer not to deal with humans, as you know by now, surely.

Jeanette brought in a box with extra hay for the goats. Of course, the box didn’t stand much a chance. I’m pretty sure Bella wasn’t eating it. Mmm, cardboard!

Bella is real good at finding opportunities. Here I dragged the tub in to stand inside, and of course she realised she could get to the storage shelf above. You saw the video the other day where I’d put the chair under the tree and she got up and ate bark from higher on the tree. When I move stuff around she’s good at taking advantage.

I can’t remember if I mentioned that I found some really nice sugarfree blueberry soda. It works really well as ice for my Pepsi. I drink my pepsi straight out of a plastic jug. I got two jugs in rotation, I always keep one in my freezer with something frozen in it. I used to spend way too much time with icecube trays. Icecubes are fun but it just gets annoying. Getting a plastic mug out of the freezer with a bottom of something frozen, that works great. As the Pepsi from the fridge warms up, it melts the frozen stuff in the jug and it’s all kept cold. I usually use another soda for the ice. Faxe Kondy Free. That taste goes well with the Pepsi when they mix. But the blueberry is really good. Is there a Blujeberry flavoured Pepsi Max? I know there’s Lime and sometimes Mango, both of which I like on occasion. But the straight Pepsi Max with frozen blueberry soda, mmm that’s good stuff.
