Deprexercising
Good goat times today. A nice and mild day. Mostly overcast, but the clouds not so heavy that it was all dark. A little sun breaking through here and there. Cold but not freezing, next to no wind. Very comfortable.
Whn I got there, I found the three little ladies all out in the big pen, Sky and Bella up on the platform, Luna below it. First time they’ve been out there in the morning since some time in December, before the snows and storms hit. A sign of better weather, if nothing else.
And we had a good time as always. A couple of nice visitors. There was a kid, I forget what his name is but he’s been there several times before. And he’s a firecracker full of energy, running around. You could tell that his lady supervisor had her hands full with him haha. He came in and fed the goats, but didn’t heed Jeanette’s advice not to hold the snacks up high. Soon he had Bella jumping up on him, practically taller than him when on her hind legs. That scared him a bit and he went “They’re monsters!” but he was soon running around happily again. And he really liked petting Sky, probably because she’s a lot calmer.
We all went out in the pen too and he climbed up on the platform and slid down the ramp a few times. He was having a lot of fun. It’s always nice to see people enjoy being with the goats.

Luna was a chatty cathy today. She was talking a whole lot. Normally she mostly talks back when I’m making noises or gestures at her, or she’s reacting to stuff. Today seemed to just be a lot of general bleating going on. Maybe she’s the one in heat now? They grow up too fast, sigh.
I was chatty with Jeanette too. I finally worked up the courage to ask about the pavemenet tiles. Jeanette is easy to talk to, but I still got lots of hangups. Talking to humans doesn’t come easy to me. Anyway, sounds like we can get a few more pavement tiles for me to build with. Jeanette said she had a meeting coming up with Andrea, about budget stuff and things like that. I took the chance to ask her how she thought ir was going with Andrea. How long has she been the leader at the playground now? A few months I guess. I remember before she started we were talkinga bout how we weren’t sure what to expect, the new boss could be a bad one, someone who wanted to get rid of all the animals. But Jeanette told me that she was super happy with Andrea and it was going well. Which aligns with my experience as well. I don’t see Andrea that much, but she’s always friendly and king, I am really happy that she comes out sometimes to help with the animals, especially that one day after the big snow storm. I don’t think animal care is really on her job description, she’s more supposed to be managing things and dealing with the humankid side. But she’s doing the work and she seems to vare about the animals and prioritize them. Jeanette said they’re getting a seperate budget for the animals and the stuff she does, so she doesn’t have to be under the general budget. So that’s good. She seemed optimistic about things, talking abotu plans to add things to the playground, like maybe some vegetable garden sort of thing where kids can help grow vegetables. Let’s just hope the goats don’t break into it!But yes, good talks.

Managed to get on my exercise bike today. Phew good stuff. Got in 58 minutes, more or less. Not bad. I was going into the cooldown period when Idioteque came on the exercise mix and I had to ramp it up again because that is the perfect exercise song, for me at least. So that got me an extra 10ish minutes. Now my legs are quite borked. But hey I’m doing smething. I’m trying at least. Let’s hope I can stick to it this time.

Phooey. Today didn’t go as planned. I had planned to go see the goats. Had tummy problems during the night, threw up a little. Probably psychosomatic. But I ended up staying in bed for some 12 hours. Sometimes it’s hard to face the real world.
I did eventually get up and do some exercising, 1:10 on the bike. So the day isn’t a total waste. But I’m still disappointed in myself and feeling sad and tired. Hey ho. One day a day.

In case you’re wondering how things are going, I just read that there are traffic advisories coming because of snow next week.
Sorry, I gotta pick my head up from the desk, hold on.
Oh boy. At least mama will be making soup soon. ut I really don’t need more walks in the snow. I’m going to have to start a gofundme to get me a snow scooter. Or, santa isn’t using his sleigh and reindeer now, right? Maybe I can borrow those. Or a helicopter and a parachute. Just spitballing.
Teleportation, how’s that going? I don’t care if it’s science or magic, I’ll take it. You need a guinea pig to send through the portal? A canary in the conduit? I’m your guy.
