Like Sugar
Good goat times today. A rainy one. The forecast had said it might get really heavily raining. It didn’t get quite that bad. But a fair bit of rain on my walk up there. And when I got there, after a little chat with Jeanette who was back from being sick last week, I found Sky hiding under the podium. Her little snug, dry sanctuary.
Eventually the rain did die down and we even got a little sunshine. For about five minutes. But at least we had some dry time so we could be outside. Of course it started raining again just when I was getting ready to walk home. Ain’t it always the way.
But it was just good to spend time with the goat girls. Where my worries melt away and there is just happiness. Rain or shine, you know i’ll be there
Now I’m going to grab me a potful of soup, today it sure is the weather for it.

Aw, Sky. I wish she could stand up to the big girls and claim her space in the goat house. But I get it. I do the same with people, withdraw to my own safe space when I can. And at least she’s got a dry place where they can’t get to her. And it’s a good vantage point to spot me coming, she was the first to bleat when I rounded the corner today.

I closed the hatch so Sky could come up to us and stand under the shelter roof without being chased off. Sweet little girl.

Nongoat news. Not much today. The parking lot is still fenced in. I did see a pathway that I think is new, across the ground between the road outside and the parking space, I think maybe that was what the digging machine was doing on Thursday. It looks like the path is leading more or less into our part of the parking space. Maybe that is the promised ramp? But the fence is still up with no gaps. So even if that path leads into the parking space, you still can’t walk from the parking space to the door of our building. I don’t know. I hope it’s a work-in-progress. They said it could be a couple of weeks, and it’s only been a week. So hopefully that’s just the first step of a solution.
I have a delivery scheduled tomorrow. I will try not to worry too much about it. It should go through, whether the driver can use our parking space or not. Hooves crossed.
I sure would like that whole situation to be resolved so I can stop worrying about all that. I have blood tests scheduled at the doctor’s office in a couple of weeks. And the neuro clinic a week after tha. Plenty of stuff to worry about!

We were happy to have Jeanette back today. Not least the goats, because she was pruning trees and the girls got a nice bounty of fresh greens straight from the source. Yum yum.

Got an hour fifty on the bike today. So I got that going for me.
Working hard at it. Tired legs, but feeling strong. And then about 45 minutes on the floor doing stretches and crunches and situps. I’m not a fan of spending that much time on all this. But as I said, I want to take a couple of weeks of intense effort. Then I can slow don a little.
Also, I got my delivery today! So that’s a relief. I was watching the driver on the tracker and when he got to our neighbourhood there was some going back and forth in circle. But not too long. And I got my stuff without problems. It seems like grocery delivery shouldn’t be a problem after all.
some of you may have seen Helle’s comment yesterday. Apparently the ramp/pathway should be done today. I don’t know if it’s ready by now, but hopefully it will work well so my parents and others can drive right to our entrance. That would be a big relief.
Hopefully everything’s on the righ track. Went through all of August without a blackout too. It does make me worry that one might be imminent. But hey, maybe they’re all done now. Yeah yeah.

The situps and crunches are really starting to work. I think I’m getting a six pack.
Of jelly donuts, but still.

Got an hour fortyfive on the bike today. So I got that going for me.
And fortyve on the floor. Phew, I am beat. My legs are like spaghettios. Powering through so far.
Tough start to the day. Depression flaring up. The devil shouting from my shoulder. “What’s the point, there’s so much wrong with you, just give up”. Jerk. But at least I got going. I’m really tired, though. Mentally. Of everything. I just want to dull the pain, with calories
But not yet, not yet. I can make it through this week at least. Maybe two weeks wa too optimistic, but this week I can do. Yeah yeah.
Does anyone else smell purple?

I started watching season 2 of Sugar. Now that the whole season has aired I can binge it all. That show is SO stylish. I’m practically blind and I’m still sitting here going “Wow that look goood”. I could watch Sugar drive around LA in his Corvette for an hour, that would be a good episode all on its own.
Surprised at the direction it took in the first episode, but still very much enjoying it. Colin Farrell is so good.
I wonder if we could get a show with Will Ferrell and Colin Farrell? I’d buy that for a dollar.
Alright, back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Good goat times today. Another rainy one. Summer is well and truly over. It pains me to think that now there’s 8 months before the weather gets good again.
Well, we might still get a couple of decent ones in September. But still. Denmark is great, but 3 months of good weather is not enough for me.
But luckily, any day with goats is good. Even if we had to spend most of it inside. I wish we could sit all four and watch the rain, but not surprisingly Sky retreated to her little safe place under the podium. She’s awfully cute sitting down there, though.
So it was a pretty quiet day. Mostly just hanging out and listening to rain, which is admittedly a lovely thing to listen to. Almost as nice as goat bleats.
Only a few of the regular kid visitors came out in the rain today. I think Jeanette was doing some grilling over by the building next to the animal grounds. Since she couldn’t light up the campfire.
Now I’m back home and ready for a big pot of soup, with flourballs. Yummy yum yum.

In nongoat news. Checked out hte parking situation today. Looks like the ramp/pathway is open for business.
Although Helle has told me that the housing assoc would tell us when it’s all done, and I haven’t heard anything. So maybe it’s not completely complete. But they opened up a passage in the fence and I was able to walk from our front door to the street above.
I had hoped that it would be possible for people to drive down and park in front of our building, for dropping off and picking up. I guess that will not be possible.
But I’m glad there is some thing. Now the question is whether my parents, especially my mother with her walker, will be able to use it. It’s got wheels. Funnily, in Danish a walker is called a “rollator”. Are we walking or rolling here?! Anyway, the ramp is a little gravely. Although pretty firm. I’m not sure if she needs a completely asphalted surface to get down. But I hope she can use it. And as I have seen, the delivery company should be able to get to me, since they were able to do it on Tuesday when the fence was closed. Should be even easier now.
I’ll be ordering something on amazon this weekend, I will be interested to see if the postal service can and will deliver packages okay. I also wonder about letters. The company that took over letter delivery from the national postal service this year have had A LOT of bad press and criticism. I am not sure if things have improved, but for a while it seemed like letter delivery in Denmark was basically wrecked. So I’m a little concernced whether that company will actually deliver letters to us or if they’ll end up in the trash or just thrown in the street, as there have been reported cases of. But I am sure the housing assoc must have thought about all that, they couldn’t cut us off from mail for two years, right?
There are so few letters delivered anymore, it’s kind of hard to test. I have actually thought about getting my parents to mail me a letter just to see if I would get it. To be fair I did get both my new bus, social security and bank cards without problems earlier in the year, but that was before the parking situaton started ‘ramping’ up.
But ok. So far it’s looking okay I guess.
Renovations have really started to speed up in the neighbour block, the one I lived in before I was rehomed. And there are still people living there. I was surprised to learn that. I guess I can see how the housing assoc would like to make mone from people living there, they can’t renovate all the apartments at the same time. So they’re keeping renters in some apartments until they get to those. I read an article from one of the people still living there, and it does not sound fun. House shaking and things in great disarray. It was actually an article about Ingrid, whomst I believe was quite helpful to me during my move last year. Names and faces are tough for me. But yeah, I’m glad I got out of there last year. It sounds pretty bad. There’s a ton of noise just living next door to it.
Yeah, it will be nice in 2079 when everything is calm and quiet and functioning and there will be world peace too, the end.

Just talked to my mother. She called to talk about our trip to the hospital next week.
Whoops, I had completely forgotten it was next week.
Well, now that she mentioned it I do remember that my appointment at the neuro clinic was moved up. It’s just. I have this text file where I write down my appointments down. Kind of like a calendar I suppose. But anyway, I guess I forgot to note down the new time when it was changed. So I have been looking at the date in that file and it said September 22nd. So that’s what my brain has been focused on.
Well, it’s good that it’s sooner of course. Although now I feel my anxiety starting to rise. You know me, I have to worry about everything.
But let’s hope I can get some answers. More than a month without a blackout, so that’s good at least. I had two blackouts in July, when I was living quite unhealthily and barely exercising. Zero blackouts in August when I slowly started eating better and exercising again. Coincidence?
I think so. As far as I can tell, the rate of blackouts doesn’t seem affected by exercise and diet. My blackouts earlier in the year were when I was doing pretty well in that department. So who knows.
I still think a brain transplant should be considered. This one is just about worn out.

Tempting fate. I couldn’t resist lowering my head and seeing if Bella was going to headbutt me. She likes headbutting random stuff. The breakfast bowl. The wall. The gate even when it’s securely locked. Thankfully, my coconut of a head did not enter the list.

Got an hour fifty on the bike today. So I got that going for me.
Still working at it. Didn’t sleep well and felt depressed. But at least I got on the bike. So that’s good. I have lost a good chunk of the weight I put on in July. So that’s good.
My plan to take two intense week of diet and exercise, eh well I’m abandoning that. I have lost enough that I can take a break. I’m getting pizza today. Because I want to. Maybe tomorrow too. The important thing is to not fall into a black hole like July. Have to keep exercising. And not eat junk food EVERY day. Need to find a balance wher I can have some unhealthy days and some healthy days with some calorie restriction and then work hard on the bike and the floor to stay reasonably fit. Must be doable.
Next week I have the big neuro appointment, so that’s going to take a lot of the focus. Who knows, maybe they can cure me from the blackouts. Or maybe they’ll discover I’m terminally ill. Who can say, not me. If things go okay maybe I’ll get motivated to put in the effort to try to lose some more weight right now. Or maybe I’ll wait till next spring when the cucumbers and tomatoes get better again. Because I can already feel that they aren’t good enough to base a diet on them. I need those suntasting maters.
Anyway. I’m going to relax and enjoy some pizza for the first time in a long while. Assuming the delivery guy can get through to me. But that shouldn’t be a problem. Haven’t had any news from the housing assoc so I don’t know if the ramp is officially done and ready for use. But a pizza guy should be able to get here.
Tra la la. I’m kind of a mess and all over the place. One day super motivated and ready to crush it, the next day I can barely get out of bed. And the mental side is even messier.
I’ll shut up now. Exercise my pie hole.

Not feeling mentally so great. Sad about myself, and the world. Waah waah. I wish I had a spaceship. Or a time machine. But I do have a pizza, so it’s not like I’m empty handed.
I hope you’re all doing well out there. May your Sunday be a fun day. Thanks for being voices in my head. Pardon the echo.
