Meet Me at the Headshop
Want to see something funny? Yesterday I said “No more snow for a long while”. And this morning…
It snowed. Beautifully so.
A perfect little snowfall. Gentle yet insisting. When you look up into the sky you see a million snowflakes rushing towards you. I laughed quietly to myself as I walked to the bus. It was just so unexpected, and so wonderful and pretty.
It didn’t last, of course. It couldn’t. In fact the weather was very schizophrenic today. As the bus made its way into the city the snow slowed and turned into rain. As I walked from the bus stop to work the rain stopped. As I sat and worked it started snowing again. Then the snow stopped and was replaced by magnificent sunshine. As I reached the playground after work a brief, but forceful, hail storm arrived. Which turned into rain and since then it has been grey and overcast. Springtime in Denmark.
I owe you stories from yesterday, and I will start with the funniest one. Nina the cat.
A pretty, little kitty. She is a regular visitor at the playground. I have seen her before. Yesterday I really had a good time with her. She is extremely cuddly. Much more so than Moomincat. He sort of tolerates that I pick him up and cuddle him. But Nina is all into it, she rubs up against me, she crawls up on my shoulder as you can see in the picture in yesterday’s entry. And she rolls around on her back. I take that to mean “please rub my belly mister”. I don’t know if that is actually what she means, but I rubbed her belly and she seemed to like it a lot. In fact she kept rolling over on her back. And I kept rubbing her.
That is the funniest, sweetest thing in a long while. How absolutely delightful.
Here she is sneaking into the horses’ stable and drinking their water:
I am in love with cats. Perfect creatures.
Mads wasn’t too charmed though. I don’t think he was too happy that I spent so much time cuddling the cat. Of course there was an easy fix for that.
Cuddles for Mads. Nina didn’t like Mads too much either I think. She meowed at him in way that sounded like “Go away, I’M playing with him now”. Luckily there is enough of me to go around.
I finally saw Mathilde lying down.
And later with Magnethe.
They are cute and pregnant together.
Big, big girls. Especially Magnethe. She is so big that she can hardly walk hehe. It takes her ages to get back on her legs when she’s been sitting.
I’m still not sure that the pictures really show how huge she is. Maybe a closeup of her belly.
Big, big girl.
Oh well, now it’s late and I’m tired again. Finish entry now.
