Opiate of the Masses, Or How I Came To Love the Bomb
I have bought myself a new TV. Finally. I am well pleased with it. Although it was a bitch to carry home. Luckily I avoided the few rainclouds. Phew. I only got a couple of drops on it.
The warranty is nice reading. It doesn’t cover things like if I accidentally put a baseball bat through it when I watch soccer. That’s fair enough. It goes on to state other things it doesn’t cover. Damage caused by: direct or indirect natural catastrophes, lightning strikes, war, rebellion, civil unrest, discharge of nuclear energy or radioactive forces.
So I just want to let all the countries that are stocking up on nuclear weapons know that they better not drop any a-bombs on Denmark. Or I’d be well pissed about having to buy a new TV.
Also, I’m not sure what “rebellion” means. Is that like the Star Wars rebellion? If a smal group of freedom-loving fighters decide to bring down our oppressive government then I guess my TV won’t be covered either.
Other than that I should be fine.

Beware the solar flare! (Maybe you could take out a special extended warranty in case of solar flares or if the tv was eaten by a goat!)
I think unless you are underground in a lead-lined box watching tv, a nuclear bomb destroying your tv would be the least of your worries. Mutant radioactive goats! ‘shudder, shudder’

Oh, my! What a cute little kitty. It looks so soft and cuddly. What breed is it? Name? Age? Details, please. You are so lucky.

Deb – I think there’s a bigger chance of a goat eating my tv than of it being exposed to nuclear explosions! Although the effect would probably be somewhat similar, haha.
Hanne – Wow! Gorgeous. I love. You’re gonna have to tell me more soon!

Hanne, so that’s what a Scottish Fold cat looks like. I’ve heard the name before but just didn’t know what it looked like. She’s just beautiful and I’ll bet you can hardly wait for her to come home with you. Thanks for all the info on your new kitty.
I have never heard of a lilac british shorthair. Our barn cats are just a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes.
