Nope. Sleeping on it did not work.
My windows seems to be stuck in a repair loop. I will probably have to do a full reinstall. It’s not the end of the world. I will just lose months and months of work. It’s only a couple of days ago that I smiled at myself and thought “I should make backups soon”. And then I decided it could wait a while. It’s not the end of the world. It’s not the end of the world. It’s not the end of the world.
On a brighter note, my diarrhea seems to be gone. And I seem to have found a good way to swallow my new meds. With a sip of cola instead of water. Go figure. It says on the package that it’s best to take them with a meal. Well, cola is a sort of meal…
Fed the animals today. Very good. It made me want to lock myself in with the goats and stay up there all day though. That place is much nicer than the real world.
I feel like going to bed again. Sleeping. But it’s barely noon. I know that taking a nap will just make it impossible to sleep tonight, I will toss and turn and feel horrible again. But still, the bed calls.
I know it’s stupid to let a little thing like a computer failure get me down. I just feel despondent. What is the point. Why oh why etcetera.
At least I forgot to look for razorblades. I wonder what a gun costs? I have a fair bit of cash stacked away, I oughta be able to afford one. And I don’t have a criminal record. I wonder what kind of background checks they do, will they be able to see that I’m on anti-depressants. I guess they oughta. Wouldn’t be smart to sell guns to depressed people. Wouldn’t be smart at all.
But how am I then supposed to defend myself against terrorism and al-qaeda? What the government can torture people but I can’t defend myself against the bears?
Don’t worry, just a little pity party and whining. I will be fine. I’ll go eat an early dinner and watch simpsons and drink three kinds of soda and then see if I can avoid sleeping. It’s not the end of the world. I have this old computer, there’s soccer on the telly tonight and I’m sure there’s a sale on dynamite somewhere.

We got a new computer recently and had the people from the store transfer and install everything. My husband and I know just enough about computers to be dangerous! So we paid the extra to have someone who knows what they are doing come to the house.
Good thing, too! It took two different tech’s to get it to working right. The first one was here three hours and the second one was here two hours. There was some time in between their visits that we would lose things on the computer, couldn’t find things, etc. What a relief to have that problem solved finally.
Glad to hear you and Luis are feeling better. Knock on wood, we’re all okay here. Just the allergies bothering me-lots of dust in the air with the harvest going on.
Things we’ve been working on: last week, it was a metal pipe horse corral (complete with big stallion) that needed scraping, priming, and painting; then this week we were at the McZillion $$$$$ Dollar Mansion staining and varnishing windows and doors; today we were scraping loose paint and priming an old one room schoolhouse. Never a dull moment in our work!
The stallion was really nice, he likes my husband! He only has one bad habit, he likes to show his teeth. (The horse, not my husband!) So, you have to remember to scratch his back and side and stay away from the bitey business end of the horse! Who knew painting could be such fun!

Never a good thing to have ugly thoughts in your mind, the computer will be fixed, it will all be better. Sleep is not the best remedy when trying to face the world. The goats need you at the playground, you mean alot to them, and they mean alot for you. After being so sick you need to get out and get some fresh air. What is the weather like there? It is nice here in New Mexico. We got hot air balloons in the air every morning at least 100 of them, it is way cool. I hope you can start to feel better ~ a computer is not worth it ~ think of it as a challange to try and fix the piece of shit. Is it to late to send it back and get another one? It seems like all you have had is problems with this new computer. Take care my friend, Debbie

Deb – I Thought I knew what I was doing with computers.. d’oh! Oh well. You live and you learn.
When I was a kid I liked to show my teeth. At least that’s what it looks like on my old school photos. I always have these huge, overdone grins on my face. When I got older I learnt that it was possible to smile without showing a full set of teeth. HEh.
Debbie – Sleep, that seductive mistress. I find it hard to turn her down. But I try. The weather is typically Danish, sparkly sunshine replaced by heavy rainshowers and windy wind. The forecast says that next week will be quite nice mostly. I doubt I’ll be seeing any balloons though.
Unfortunately the current computer problem is my own fault, so I can’t send it back. But I shall have it solved. No worries. Thank you.
