2007, Part One

There you go. 2007 has officially started. I hope everybody got through the night okay. Safe and sound.

I must say, the year has been quite nice so far. I went up to the playground to check on things. Everything was fine. No damage or injury. So I hung out with the goats for a while. Cuddled Kridte. And then went and let Nina out of the bath room. Sat with her on the couch. A couple of times a bird would fly past the window and she’d turn her head and follow it with her eyes. I think she would very much like to go outside and play. Tomorrow the playground opens up again and then she can go out and things will be back to normal.

I love having my own key to the place. Imagine me without a key, I wouldn’t have been able to see the animals much during the holidays. That would have sucked a bunch. Even if I had hated working in the weekends then it still would have been worth it just to have the key. I am the keymaster. Have you seen the gatekeeper?

So, one day down and 364 to go. Unless it’s one of those wacky years with extra days. Or fewer days. Or something. Did you hear about the Turkmen president who died recently? He had renamed January after himself. That is so awesome. I wish I was a crazy president who did lots of crazy stuff like that. Only the crazy stuff I’d do would generally be funny and wacky and sweet, I wouldn’t be a feared tyrant. No I’d be a loved, wacky, cartoony Santa sort of leader.

Hmm, according to this article one of his crazy laws was that young men weren’t allowed to wear beards. Oh well, I’m not that young anymore. I’m sure I’d get by.

Anyhoo, I have to go back to my party. Tigger Le Pez is tapping his glass, I think he wants to make a speech. Bye all.

Plume, my sweet – no card arrived at the little yellow house – woe and dismay. What happened? All’s well, I trust, in sunny Århus?!

Desiree – Booommer. I will resend. All is swell here. Although not too sunny. Thank (weather)god.
