Every Which Way But Goat

Phew, I seem to have regained control of my computer. I had to wrestle Mads for it though.

The Mads Show, eh? In Denmark the Cosby Show was called Cosby & Co. And that Donald Duck magazine I grew up reading was called Anders And & Co. Anders And being the Danish name of Donald Duck. So I figure Mads needs “& Co” too. And who could Mads’s company be? Well, Magnethe of course. So I asked her if she wanted to do a blog update. She looked at me and said “only if I can do it standing in a bucket”. Unfortunately I don’t think we have any suitable buckets at home, so you’ll have to wait for a Magnethe blog. But just so she doesn’t feel left out, here is a video of her:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=X6DLAdET80o. It is Magnethe Vs Christmas. Eating the christmas tree. Nothing spectacular, but for you poor sods who don’t get to see her in real life I figure it’s better than nothing. You can also see her doing something that I quite admire goats for. Scratching her own face with her hind legs. I think her eye was irritated, she was scratching it a lot. Anyway, I wish I could scratch myself behind the ears with my legs. Oh wait, I just tried and I can! Of course I have to sit in a funny position and use my arms to pull up my legs. I am not too limber, really.

The video ends with Magnethe hearing a noise coming from inside, and she goes to investigate. They always pay very close attention to noises coming from inside, because that often means it’s feeding time. The most important time of the day, when you’re a goat.

I’m getting hungry.

I just had a look at momma’s shopping list for tomorrow. It says “soup”. If I’m lucky then she’ll be cooking up a giant pot of momma’s world famous chicken soup soon. Mmm goodie.

Speaking of Donald Duck, remember I told you that my favourite Donald artist was Don Rosa? To waste time I have been reading up on his old usenet posts. And in one post from sometime in the 90s, someone asked him if he played computer games. And he said that he did. And his favourite game was one called ULTIMA. How awesome is that? How brilliantly wonderful. Why do I say that? Because Ultima is MY favourite game. Ultima 6 was my first computer RPG ever. And Ultima 7 part 1+2 are still in the top 4 of my favourite games of all time. So my favourite comic book artist is (or was) an Ultima fan too. That makes me almost giddy. Imagine you’re a baseball fan and you find out that Michael Jordan’s favourite game is Scrabble and your own favourite game is Scrabble. Wouldn’t you be all hyper? I think I know you would!

Now I not only feel like getting Don Rosa Hall Of Fame #2 but also like playing Ultima 7. There is nothing like nostalgia. And there is nothing like having plenty of time to wallow in nostalgia. I can’t believe everyone else has started working and I still have vacation! Hahahahaha. Suuuuckers. This is what Santa Claus must feel like.
