I managed to talk to Trine at TMU today. And got my schedule changed.
No more Mondays off. That is kinda sad, cause there is nothing worse than a Monday morning. But on the plus side my hours have changed from 9-14 to 9.30-13. And still Wednesday off. So I get to sleep an hour longer in the morning. That’s nice. Hopefully that will help a little. I have missed some days lately and then there was easter and then the med thing and so on and so forth. So now it’s time to shape up and give it a 100 percent and other such inspirational phrases.
With all the grim things in the world, let’s have some happy goats.
They always have a good time. A video of Vanilje (mostly): http://youtube.com/watch?v=ilxZQyaHRl4. Different scenes. Not a lot of action. But slow grazing and chewing. And some dancing on two feet. Plus a funny ending where Magnethe and Vanilje team up and chase one of the lambs away. Good fun. If the video isn’t live on youtube then try it again later.
Speaking of happy animals, here is a video I like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Tn5FHLk6Lw. It is a happy duckling swimming in a sink. Sweet and squeaky.
Thank heaven for small wonders.

Vanilje is a ballerina goat! All she needs is a pink tutu. What a cute little duckling.
Well, you might as well know, my husband is addicted to . . . PYGMY GOATS! We now have 3 of them instead of just 2. Our newest addition is named “Frankie” (Aka: Franklin, or Baby Goat). He’s about one year old, a wether like the other two boys, and is mostly white with black feet with some gray (like Mads) around his eyes/face and has black horns.
John Boy and Billy have no idea what he is. They both think they are humans and are puzzled about this new baaaing animal. I think both of them are a little put out about Frankie. We keep telling them we still love them, give them lots of attention, brushings, etc.
Frankie knows what they are and he wants to play. Billy isn’t too happy with him, wants to butt him, and I swear, Billy mutters to himself about the new goat being annoying, what were those humans thinking of, etc.
They are separated from Frankie so nobody gets too aggresive while we aren’t around. We’ve taken everyone for walks and Frankie stays right with us. Hopefully they will all learn to get along (or at least tolerate each other).
Frankie was a “bottle baby” so he is VERY friendly, likes people, eats out of your hand, wants to be your buddy. Our other two boys were very, very shy when they were young and we’ve really had to work with them to gain their trust. Hope they are not too disappointed in us bringing home another “furry human”.

Debster– Haha! I should get her a tutu. Only it would be a bit awkward in the clothes store. I can just imagine it…
“Hi, I need a tutu”
Sales lady looks at me funny. “And what size tutu do you use, sir?”
“No, no. It’s not for me. It’s.. It’s for my goat.”
“I… see.”
Oh yes, that would be something. I can’t believe you got another pygmy! That’s so awesome. Congratulations! Do you have any pictures? If not then you should get some. He sounds lovely. Just be careful he doesn’t go to hollywood. You know. Frankie goes to hollywood? Haha. Oh dear. I’m sure the two other boys will come around. Once they feel assured that they will still be loved and treasured and that the new czar isn’t going to stage a coup for the russian throne. Makes sure to tell them that Plume adores them too, all the way from Denmark.

Yes, we will have to get some pictures taken and send to you. I will tell them you adore them all the way from Denmark, too. I don’t think I will tell Billy about your goats . . . he’s having a hard enough time realizing he isn’t the only goat here in the US! World-wide goats might be too much for him to comprehend.
