Today Is The Greatest… Comeback
Can you spot the cat?
Hmm. How about this:
Yes?
And now? This is how they should test your eye sight. Instead of asking you to read lines of text they should ask you to spot the kitty.
And what a sweet little camouflage kitty it was. I never would have spotted it if I hadn’t actually seen it jump up and disappear in those bushes. Luckily it wasn’t too annoyed that I exposed its hiding place. In fact it meowed sweetly and did not mind that I petted it.
I wonder if it is a friend of Moomincat’s?
In other news, I have been feeling a little down this week so far. For no particular reason, I guess. Sometimes my mood just swings. From “things are finally going to be ok” to “what’s the point of it all?”. I’ll be fine though. Time to remind myself of what makes me happy…
Sweet, lovely Magnethe.
I love her dearly.
Sitting in the sunshine with Mads lying on my left, Magnethe on my right and Vanilje running around all over the place. That’s the point.
Vanilje leaning against the fence. Remember the picture of Mads standing in the trough and scratching himself against the wall? When they’re outside they always scratch themselves against the fences, those metal meshes. They lean over against the meshes and then they drag themselves forward. It always makes me smile. It’s a wonder that they don’t fall over, they lean over so far. I remember in the past, when the goats used to be tied up at the back of the playground. I was there a couple of times when it was time for them to come in at the end of the day. Then Kurt or Per would set them free. And they’d run straight towards their pen. But on the way they’d always stop at the fences and then they’d leeeean over and drag their bodies across them. And then turn around and do the other side. You could just tell how good it felt for them to be able to really get themselves scratched like that after a day of being tied up without anything to scratch against.
Lovely goats.
Tonight’s musical news: The Smashing Pumpkins are playing their first gig after the reunion tonight. In Paris. This is a big deal to me. The Smashing Pumpkins is my favourite band of all time. Along with all the other various bands and projects that Billy Corgan has had a part in. I won’t go on and on about it though. Maybe in another entry. For now I’m excited to see from the preliminary reports that they have played Today and Stand Inside Your Love. So they’re playing old stuff. Awesome. I hope there will be a recording. Soon.
And that’s all, tata tadioes.
PS. They played Winterlong? Whoa. And Glass + The Ghost Children. Dude I’m getting all sp-excited. Smashy smashy!
PPS. Now watching: The Smashing Pumpkins – To Sheila (070522) clip. OMG.
PPPS. I wish they would play Plume.
PPPPSSS. I’ll stop now.

Hi Plume. Did you get the snail-mail from yours truly yet? I sent it Friday, so should definitely have arrived… unless the dirty mailman stole it! The bastard!

Camo cat to the rescue! Camo cat fights evil thoughts and purrs for the goodness of the world! Camo cat is visible to only the good and the true.
Luis Lemmings: I worry about you sometimes! How’s the Moominlizard?
I liked the way you put it about “my mood just swings”. Sounds better than just “mood swings”. “My mood just swings” makes me think of a swing at the playground when I was a kid. Back and forth, and back and forth till you finally stop swinging and you’re back in the middle again. My mood just swings sometimes, too. (Must be something to do with those darned “sunspots” again.)
Thanks for the pictures. Did I ever tell you I liked goats?

Clare – It’s a sweetie!
Luis Lemmings – Don’t be silly, Luis! You can still toe dance in jell-o even if you’re blind! You just need to wear a protective hat and goggles, then you’ll be fine! I’m glad it was a false warning, though. And hey, you got the chance to give your skin a rest and walk around bareboned for a while.
Desiree – I got it! Thank you so much. You are kind and a credit to the human race, which you are also expanding! I think the mailman has learnt that if he doesn’t deliver my letters then I send Mads after him. That sorted things out!
Debster – Camo cat is the new superhero on the block! I should draw up some kind of comic book with him. Only since he’s invisible it’ll be a very easy one to draw!
Wait wait wait wait… you like goats? THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!
