Spindizzy

Wow. I have slept most of the day away. And I’m still tired. I have been feeling woozy and dizzy and other such hazy things. I think I might be a little sick. I’m not actually feeling very bad. Just feeling that the floor seems to be spinning and that I’d really like to get back in bed.

My dad stopped by earlier to drop off the TIPS-Bladet football paper. And he saw I wasn’t feeling too well. So he returned later with camomile tea and Strepsils (throat mediciny pills). And he even got me shrimps. He knows I love shrimps. The kind I like are just too expensive to buy on a regular basis. So that was very sweet of him. Of course I can’t eat them right now or I’ll have to run back to the toilet… but when I feel better they will be lovely.

Yesterday I helped him cut down some branches on the old tree in our back yard. Some of the branches were getting so long that they were becoming troublesome. So we trimmed the tree. My dad did most of the cutting because I’m so afeared of heights that even a little ladder is troublesome. But I helped out as best I can. It was a lovely day, yesterday. With the sun shining and the leaves in thousands of exploding colours.

And guess who I met, yesterday? I met Bodil. And her dog Lulu. It’s been absolutely ages since the last time I saw her. I never did get to visit her in her summer house. But now she’s back at her regular residence, and hopefully that means I’ll be seeing her more often at the playground. She is a sweet old lady and her dog is just so funny and cute. Bodil lifted her up and I was cuddling her and scratching her face while I talked to her owner. And then suddenly Bodil said “Lasse, that’s my finger”. Hehe. She was holding Lulu so the hair was over her hands so at first I didn’t even notice that I went from scratching Lulu’s neck to scratching Bodil’s finger. We had a good laugh about that. And a good talk too. Bodil is one of the few people in this world that I can actually talk with pretty normally and feel okay. To a social phobic person that is worth a lot.

Now it’s bedtime for me, again. Hopefully I’ll be feeling fresher tomorrow. And maybe the floor will have stopped spinning as well. I don’t know WHY they built this appartment on a revolving floor, it just makes no sense.

It’s good to hear about Bodil and Lulu again. I had been wondering how they were doing. I’d forgotten you’d said she had a summer home.

Hope you are feeling better. Do you get a flu shot each year? There seems to be plenty of vaccine available this year in our area. Think the two of us will get ours on the 8th of November.

I don’t get a flu shot. Never done that, not that I can remember. Maybe I should get shotgun and go shoot flus.
