The Appliances Have Gone Berserk
Today hasn’t been the best of days. It started with a dream. Involving Sara, the girl with the English father. The one I pined over for years in my schooldays. In the dream she was mean to me. How rude! I know it’s silly, but it made me sad when I woke up. Plus that I have been feeling quite tired since the wedding. I guess it drained me a bit. In any case, I went back to bed. Knowing it was a mistake. Ended up sleeping half the day. And since then I have been walking around half-awake, half-asleep and half-sad. Does that add up?
I’m sure I’ll be fine soon, though. No worries. In the meantime my latest favourite song of the moment suits the mood just fine.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=X9l-FrBJK_0. Last Flowers. Formerly Last Flowers Till The Hospital. I’m a sucker for piano, as you know. And Thom Yorke on piano? Well, I could never resist that. The video is from the bus trip home from the wedding, in fact. You can see some of the neighbourhood(s). It’s not very interesting, but give it a listen if you fancy.
The part where the bus turns right the first time, at the muddy slopes, that’s where I get off when I take the bus to go to the playground. If the bus had carried on straight ahead instead of turning right then the playground would have been just down the street. Also later on notice the two boys pushing each other around a bit. They’re actually at the wrong door, that’s why they suddenly have to run forward to get to the right door before the bus takes off again.
That’s all. Time to face the night, it can offer me escape. Relief… believe. Relief. Believe…

I tried to watch your video but it wouldn’t load for me. So I will try again later.
I’m tired, too. We worked at the shop for a little while this morning, then to the rental house project we’re working on. I was painting all the trim around the windows, doorways, and baseboard while my husband was doing the ceilings and walls.
Then back up to the shop after supper to load a big bunch of stained and varnished trim, door frames, stairway spindles, etc., to go to another project in the early morning.
So far we’ve spent 39 hours working in this rental house patching, filling nail holes, sanding and priming trim, and then painting the walls, ceilings, and trim. We have a bunch of doors to paint at the shop and this is only for 4 rooms in the house. The bathroom, kitchen, and laundry area are being gutted & remodeled. There is a floor in the bathroom now, but nothing else! The electrician and plumbers and noisy carpenters were there today, too.
Usually painting is a nice quiet job, but not today with all the racket they were making.
I had a dream about robins. They usually migrate back here in Feb., but some have been staying around all year. I haven’t seen one yet, but I’m ready. A sure sign of spring.

I give congratulations to your parents. They looked very happy in the photos.
Yes, events like that do take a toll physically. So I wouldn’t worry about being tired afterwards. It’s only natural.
I’ve had dreams, too, where I either wake up really mad or sad. I don’t like waking up mad.
Wow, lots of work, Debster! And you’re right. Painting is usually a very quiet and soothing task.
But think of the weekends, of the goats, and the robins coming back for the spring.
And life will be wonderful again…

Sigh . . . we usually work on the weekends, too.

Debster – Video oughta be working. Try it again now.
I almost feel bad for being tired, when I hear how much you do. I wouldn’t last a day as a painter. Fingerpainter, maybe.
Funny you had a dream about robins, cause I had a dream about batmen… no no, I kid. I kid.
LuisLemmings – Appreciate it, Luis. And I’m getting back on top of things, I think. All in a day’s work.

Nope. I get a black screen with the clock-wise circley thing going around, but it never loads up for me to watch. I watched some other videos, so don’t know what the problem is.
“Batman and Robin” – am I going to have to come over there and smack you! hee, hee (You are good, Plumey. Just you wait, I’ll get even with you yet, my pretty! *evil laugh*)

Debster – Well that’s annoying. It’s working for me. I’ve had that happen on youtube before though, nothing to do but wait and try again another time. It’s nowt important though.
*ducks* Hah, miss me?!
