It’s Alive

My webhost had a major downfall today. So if you couldn’t reach the blog then that is why. I hope no one panicked. I know life without Plume’s blog is scarcely worth living. But carry on, carry on.

Although nothing interesting actually happened today. So you wouldn’t have missed much, if you couldn’t reach the blog. Nothing much at all.

I did watch Juno, which I found to be rather delightful. I liked the musicality of it. Much recommended. I would also like to recommend Cloverfield, if you’re into that sort of thing. And if shaking cameras don’t make you nauseous. I thought it was rather cool to see a “monster movie” from a “realistic viewpoint”. Juno and Cloverfield, I do have varied tastes don’t I? That doesn’t mean that you should eat me, though, if you’re a giant monster.

Let’s finish off with a little goat kiddiness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4gPiEfWoLg. Maybe it’s a little boring, but I like it. I like when the goats get all riled up and start running around for no apparent reason. And even better when it’s the kids that do most of the running. Here they are having some fun with Vanilje. The bunny visitor is there too. Most of the funny running and jumping is towards the end. It’s hard to keep them in the frame when they bounce around like that. They get good exercise, that’s for sure. It’s also rather funny to see the little girls jumping up on each other and even doing some little humping moves. I checked, they ARE girls.

If I only had half of the energy those kids have. Vanilje is just one of the goatzie girls. She acts like a really big kid.

That is one big rabbit. And I like how it stays right there in the thick of things, moves away for a bit, then hops right back under the bench. And I’m sure it could run off anywhere it wanted to, if things got a little too hectic for it.

Since our boys have all been neutered, they don’t smell like an intact billy would smell. Therefore, they all think each other are “girl goats”. (If you don’t smell like a billy, then you must be a girl goat.) They do lots of play humping, too.

I know, I know, I spend way too much time figuring out what those goats are thinking. I mean it makes sense to me, if you don’t smell like a boy billy goat, you MUST be a girl goat, right? Not always, as they have found out!

Then I wonder if John Boy knows he’s a boy goat, but thinks the other two are girls? And they think they are boys, but the others are girls. Oh, it gets confusing in goatzie land.

Debster – Yes, it’s funny. If you didn’t know better you’d think that Vanilje was their big sister. The little girls bring out the kid in her. I still remember the first days that they were out and how they were jumping up on the hay bale and how Vanilje wanted to do the same, even though she’s way too big for it. Lovely.
The bunny runs around and enjoys itself I think. Sometimes it almost seems to be taunting the goats a little.. jumping in through the fence and running around with the goats. Then if they try to push it around it’ll jump back through the fence and run around outside, almost as if it’s saying “can YOU get out, huh?!”. A bunny on the run.
I never thought of the smell think. Makes sense that a goat that doesn’t smell like a buck must be a girl. Hmm, I don’t smell like a buck. I wonder if they think I’M a girl goat?! Maybe I shoulds top bathing for a while..
