Radiohead Rockabyes
What a beautiful couple of days it has been. Warm and sunny. Springtime in the air. Although the weather forecast says that we’ll get rain at the end of the week. But for now it is quite lovely.
The playground in the sun.
And Lulu. Back from the hospital and doing just fine. I met her and Bodil yesterday. She was obviously relieved to have her dog back home, Bodil. And it was very nice to see Lulu again. The picture doesn’t do her cuteness justice. Even with the added stitches on her leg. The cyst thing was removed without problems. And her back x-rays were good too. The doctor said he had rarely seen such a strong back on a dog of her age. She’s 7 years old, Lulu.
Had a good, long talk with Bodil too. That was nice. We talked about cats, among other things. She might be able to refer me to a lady who deals a lot with cats and who might be able to get me one that suits me well. That would be nice. We’ll see. Sooner or later I’ll get a cat, I swear. Although it just struck me that I will be going to Greenland for almost a week with the family. In October or November, I forget. I don’t know anyone who could take care of my cat while I was gone. Can you hire a kitty-sitter? I don’t know if there are any kitty hotels in the neighbourhood. Maybe it would be better to wait with getting a cat until after that trip. I don’t think I’ll be going on any long vacations after that. But that would be a long time to wait too. Half a year. I don’t know. Guess I must think. Where did I put my thinking cap? Oh right, I left it on top of the anvil. Silly me.
Should have gotten a kitty long ago, but I’ve been busy with the puppies.
Little sweet goat puppies.
Lakrids is still liking the pea pods.
And Chokolade is liking my fingers. Nom nom nom.
I guess I will call her Chokolade. Until further notice.
Hehe. Vanilje with her face buried in hay. And Choko wishing she was a little bit taller.
And Lakrids whispering a secret in my ear. I will never tell.
Or maybe she’s just asking for more pea pods. I bought some fresh peas today. In pods. Peas for me and pods for the goat kids. A fair deal.
Better get to bed now, though. I didn’t sleep well last night. It has made me groggy today. Not feeling too bright. Hopefully tomorrow will be a nice sunny day in the company of good goats. That’s all you can really ask for.

Remember how I was up in Los Angeles last year to watch those two kitty kats?
Well, no matter how independent they seem, they still need lots of love.
It’s going to be a tough call whether or not you should get one before you trip later this fall.
If you do get one soon, maybe someone from the playground could watch the kitty kat for you while you’re away?

LuisLemmings: that’s a great idea about having the new kitty kat watched at the playground. Also, maybe the lady that knows about the cats could be asked to kitty kat sit for Plume. Or maybe Bodil would know someone?
Plume: do you have to notify your landlord about getting a pet? Your landlord might recommend someone trustworthy in your apartment complex who watches pets for vacationing tenants.
If you’re worried about the cost, maybe you could do some bartering (like if someone watches the cat, you might be able to help them with some computer stuff or digital camera stuff or help out at the playground extra). Trade kitty watching for something you’re good at and you don’t have to worry about cash.
Lulu looks so cute. Glad to hear she’s doing alright. Seven years old isn’t too bad for a little dog. They seem to live longer than big, big dogs.

LuisLemmings – Yes, tough call. I guess I’ll have to see what my options are before I make a decision. The playground is probably the only place where I might have some luck finding someone. I’m not sure that’ll even be possible though.
Debster – Yes, maybe someone from the playground. They’d have to brign it home with them though, because of the alarm system. Bodil is allergic to cats, otherwise maybe she would have done it. She told me that Lulu would love to have a kitten! Hehe. At least until the kitten would try to sleep in her bed, then Lulu would get jealous.
Well anyway, I will think about it all. In any case I’m not going to get a cat right this instant, I’ll at least wait until the goatzie girls are a little older. Right now I just want to spend all my time with them. If only I could bring them home! Maybe if I leave a trail of peas…
