Letters Attached To A Cat

I am feeling somewhat better. At least my throat isn’t hurting anymore, so that’s good. Every now and then it tingles a bit and makes me cough. And I am still snotty like a brat with who gets too high an allowance. Also my metaphors are horrible, just horrible. And I’m tired. But I’m glad the throat is better. I’m sure tomorrow I’ll be all good. And full of crispy, yummy metaphors.

While we wait for that, here are some pictures from Wednesday:

magnethechoko

Magnethe and Chokolade saying hello, through the fence. When goats think there are treats to be had then they also think that they can squeeze themselves through the tinniest of gaps. Tiny gaps, I mean. Not tinny. That thing about the camel through the keyhole? I am sure it was a goat originally.

choko

Chokolade and I. The girls are so beautiful, Lakrids and Chokolade. The photos don’t do them justice. You really have to sit down and be close to them to see how wonderful they are. They don’t jump all over me anymore, but every now and then I’ll grab them and sit them on my lap. They’re so big now that they’re impossible to hold down though, they just squirm out free and continue their merry frolicking. A good scratch will stop them, though. That’s a thing I have found to be true with all the goats I have met. If you scratch them the right place then they’ll forget everything they’re doing. Even eating. They’ll just stop and enjoy it.

magnethekids

And there is photographic proof that the kids aren’t quite weaned yet. It’s a rare occasion though. And mama never let’s them drink for long. 30 seconds then she’ll walk away. That’s yer lot.

thor

And Thor, sitting down as he did most of the time. He chills good.

There you go. Good as goat.

I was expecting the girls to break out into song! What a cute photo. I still miss Mads. I think about him when I look at your photos.

I’m sure you’ve heard of the salmonella outbreak in Denmark. It’s in the paper way out here in San Diego!

I think it’s a meat product that only Denmark markets to its citizens. It said in the paper that no other country bordering Denmark is affected.

I hope you’re not sick because of that, Plume.

I’ve had food poisoning before and it’s not a pretty at all. Ugh!!

  2. Debster Says:

Plume, should we let LuisLemmings in on the secret? Goatzies DO sing. And dance!

Happy 4th of July to all of you in the States. We are working this morning and going to our “small town” parade this evening. (And maybe take a nap sometime.)

  3. Plume Says:

LuisLemmings – I still miss Mads very much as well. Every now and then the other goats will do something that reminds me of him and I’ll think “aw that’s just like Mads used to..” and then it hits me. I’m definitely not over the sadness and depression either…
I can’t believe the salmonella made the paper’s in San Diego. That’s wild. I’m quite sure it’s not what’s afflicting me though. My stomach is pretty fine. Fingers crossed.

Debster – Shh! Whatever you do, don’t tell anyone about the upcoming Disney movie “It’s a Goat’s Tail”! Big secret. Singing and dancing goats is going to be the next big thing.
Happy 4th of July to you as well. Are the goats going to go see the parade? Or be IN the parade? I’d like to see a long line of parading goats. Of course I have a feeling the line would scatter pretty quickly once the goats start looking for treats.

  4. Debster Says:

I’ve always thought about the goats being in the parade. But I think they would just be too overwhelmed with all the people. I don’t think they would walk all the way and not sure of putting them on the back of our trailer.

Snickers is still too much of a headstrong baby to get her to walk nicely down a street with me. But all of them would sure be cute to see in a parade!
