Bed And Beyond

Got up at 7 AM today. Fresh and rested after a good night’s sleep. And day’s, and night before’s. I don’t know if I have ever slept so much before.

Today I made it till 3 pm before I couldn’t stand being alive anymore and decided to retreat to the comfort of the bed. Intending to sleep the rest of the day away. I woke up after a couple of hours though. And have managed to stay awake since then. My sleep rythm is entirely in shambles. And I know it’s not very smart. But the numbness of the sleep is so much better than the emptiness of the day.

I feel lost. Adrift in the ocean. I hope I can keep swimming till I see the shore.

Alrighty then, my dear danish goat boy. If LuisLemmings and I have to get up at regular hours every day, then so do YOU!

There are goats to pet, gray bunnies to chase, horses to scratch, pictures to take, and Nina’s furry little tummy to rub.

Get back on a schedule, list some things you enjoy doing, then DO THEM. You aren’t my dear danish “hibernating bear” boy. Besides, it’s too early to hibernate. Don’t make me come over there and drag you out of your den!

Do you need to discuss this with your doctor as far as meds go? There’s nothing wrong with asking for your doc’s opinion on this. If it’s not getting better on its own, maybe you need some help.

Reading: have you read any of the “Odd Thomas” books by Dean Koontz? I think there are four of them out in a series now. I’m reading “Odd Hours” right now.

Supernatural happenings, a ghost dog, a young man who sees the dead . . . not really too scary, but lots of mysteriousand evil things that happen. I think you’d like them if your library has them.

Steven King is toooo scary for me most of the time.

Aren’t I nice? I kick you in the butt and then recomment good books. I’m a full-service blog friend. And what are friends for especially when you need pointed in the right direction!

I know it’s hard to get up at regular times. But Debster is right. It’s better for your body physically to get up in the morning at basically the same time. For example, even when I’m out late or up late because of insomnia, just by habit I’m up at 7am. I don’t even have to set the alarm on my clock. And believe me, there are days when I absolutely have to get up. I just hate to do it!

So Debster is kindly, very kindly kicking you in your rump to jump start you.

And besides, I think you know us by now that we wouldn’t be this blunt if we didn’t care.

That was me above–LuisLemmings. I switched to another computer I have since the one I used (emachine) finally died a happy death.

Debster – Ouw, my butt! No don’t worry, you can kick it all you want. I have steel plates in there, from back when I was in Nam. Or maybe that was a steel plate in my head, I seem to be confused.
I do try to keep a schedule. I usually get up early enough… it’s just that sometimes I fall back in. But tomorrow I will go see the animals. Yes. I will try at least.
I don’t wanna go back on meds if I can avoid it, I think. Maybe if it gets worse. But not right now. I think I need to up my dosage of cola. yes, that’s the ticket.
I have read a couple of Dean Koontz books. But not the Odd ones. I will have a look at them. When I’m through with my Stephen King reading list. Any day now. I have also booked (pun!) another pulitzer winner at the library. Don’t know if it comes recommended by Oprah as well, but one out of two ain’t bad.

LuisLemmings – I do usually get up at a regular hour. It’s more staying up that has been a problem. i’m working on it though. Don’t worry about being blunt. You guys are positively gentle. My butt is more massaged than kicked. Hmm, that’s a little creepy, sorry.
Sorry bout your ‘puter. I used to have an emachines. Donated it to my parents when I moved out. True story.
