Plume Unleashed

Today was a goaty day. And good times were spent with the sisters.

They were tied down out back again, so I sat and kept them company for a while. At one point I was sitting and chatting with Magnethe when I heard a CLANK-CLANK-CLANK sound. I turned my head and saw Vanilje darting down the paved pathway leading back to the main playground premises. She had pulled her leash up and was running for sweet freedom. She didn’t get far though, she was quickly distracted by all the yummy fallen leaves under the trees that line the pathway. I went to get her back and that of course started Magnethe baaahing wildly. If there’s one thing a goat doesn’t like then it is when the other goats run away. I’m still not sure if it is because they are mad that the others have escaped or if they’re mad that they themselves aren’t escaping as well. The clank sound was the wedge thingie that Vanilje’s leash was tied to. She’d pulled it right up out of the ground and it was dangling along after her, clanking against the asphalt. Maybe that was why Magnethe was baahing, that sound probably reminds her of being taken back to the goat house for feeding. She was probably yelling “IS IT FEEDING TIME? DON’T FORGET MEEEE! I NEED TO BE FED TOO! VAAAAANILJE DON’T FORGET MEEEEE!”. Or something like that.

Silly goats.

There are new geese at the playground.

Unfortunately the old ones died. First one and then a week or two later the other. Sad. But the new ones look nice and geesy.

That’s about all for today. Not much going on. When the cops aren’t knocking at least.

We saw a cute little frog on our walkies tonight with the goats and donkey girl. It’s cooler here, so the frogs aren’t hopping or croaking too fast these days.

We had at least 8 inches of rain over a three day period. Lots of creeks and rivers are up, but are slowly going down again. It’s mushy out in the yard where we go for walkies with the aminals.

The geese are very attractive. I hope they don’t get sick.

Wow! Rain! We haven’t seen it around these parts for almost a year. We probably won’t get it until November. That’s when it starts to get cold and the rains come…

Hey! Who wrote the above entry? Probably some dashing and handsome man with a mysterious past and even murky future…

  4. Plume Says:

Debster – Did you kiss the frog and did it turn into a prince? Or a royal goat? Well I guess if that had happened then you would’ve probably mentioned it. Doesn’t seem like the kind of thing you’d just gloss over.

LuisLemmings – You don’t fool me Luis! That was you! YOU! I know it was. Next time get a better disguise. A dark cloak and an eyepatch and maybe a violin.

I’m NOT the kind of girl to kiss (a frog) and tell.
