Un Poco Loco

There were no lambs waiting for me when feeding the animals yesterday. But there was one cat.

nina

Meowing at the back door. That is Nina’s new MO. Previously she used to meet me at the front door. Often rolling around on her her back until I got the door unlocked and she’d go inside with me. But now she usually shows up at the back door and meows until I let her in.

She was quite sneaky today. I always let her stay inside while I feed the animals. Today it started raining just as I came back to let her outside. I picked her up and carried her out and sat her down. Then I turned around to walk back inside. And swoosh came the kitty darting inside. She didn’t appreciate being put out in the rain. I had to insist though, as always. She’d set off the alarm if I let her stay in. She’s got a private entrance to the bunny house, though, so she doesn’t suffer.

Vanilje and Magnethe eagerly awaiting their dindins.

And the sheep. The black on sitting down. The white one coming up to check me out. You can tell she’s the confident one. When I put down the bucket with the food she pushed the black one away. Not roughly like Magnethe does to Vanilje. But just a gentle prod that clearly stated “I got dibs on this”. I brought another bucket so they could have one each. They seemed happy with that. Not like the goats who always push each other around no matter how many buckets they have.

It’d be funny if people acted like that in restaurants. We should make a sketch out of that.

Here is a nice evening:

evening

Walking home from dinner with the parents on Friday. Setting sun somewhere to the east. Or wherever the sun sets.

Also, it is now hazel season. The nuts have started falling. And I’m not talking about the US election either. Hazelnuts, the goats just love them. And I just love the sound of them being crushed and crunched. youtube.com/watch?v=aXoDFxJP76I. Magnethe doing her part.

That’s all for now. On Wednesday I have the vent people coming over to check the vents. Between 8 am and 4 pm. So that’s nice and specific. Hopefully they’ll come soon and be done quickly.

It’ so windy today I can’t get out to go for a walk for fear I, child and pushchair would all fly away!

You know, when I try to take pictures of the sunset or something similar, my horizon is alwaus slightly slanted, too. What’s up with that?

Anyways, I’ve done a couple of letters to a couple of kids. I shall get them and the LEGAL drugs in the post soonish and definitely in time for your departure to colder climes.

Oh, and I slept last night. For the first time in 10 months, I slept. Yes. I did. And I feel human, again.

Mmmm…our sun rises in the east and sets in the west. Are things that different in Denmark?

Desiree: isn’t that great when you actually can sleep well? I don’t sleep that well. I never feel rested when I wake in the morning.

Plume: what are the sheep’s names?

  3. Plume Says:

Desiree – You’d be like a flying nun. Apart from the nun part. I’m sure the kids would be thrilled though.
I think it’s just the road that was going downhill. All roads are. Or is that leading to Rome? Hmm.
I look forward to the mail. And I’ll be sure not to mix things up so the kids accidentally get (legal) drugs from Santa.
Hope you’ll get more good sleep soon. Sometimes I find it incredibly easy to sleep. And then sometimes not. Oh well.

Debster – In Denmark the sun rises in the north, and very puzzling it also sets in the north. Local scientists are baffled.
I’m not sure of the sheep names, I shall have to try to find out.

Ha, ha. And I thought I was “directionaly challenged”!
