Spent about 26ish hours in bed. Just because of the sadness and depression. I love my dreams when I sleep that much. But I know it’s not very productive to escape reality. Probably doesn’t work well in the long term. I feel worst about not seeing the goats. Gotta do better for them.

Happy to see Jason Sudekis getting a golden globe for Ted Lasso. I can’t think of anything more deserved, except for when Ted Cruzy mistook a beehive for a glory hole.
Oh wait, I think that just happened in my dream last night.
Anyway, if you still haven’t Ted Lassoed then I highly recommend you Ted Lasso. And happy to see Jason get it, apparently he’s going through some personal stuff, all the best to him.

Good goat times today. Finally back out where I belong. And a beautiful day. Lots and lots of sunshine. Still cold, though. Only barely above freezing in the morning. At times I regretted only having a t -shirt under the coat. But it was good to have some sun nonetheless. There were several groups of visiting kids when I arrived in the morning. Gleefully watching the goats. They got a bit of a show when Milo decided to mount Sky. Milo, not in front of the children! Oh dear. Sky was very vocal today too. She’s always chatty, but today even more so. Starting out with her normal bleats but then instead of stopping just going on even louder. She’s so funny. She was trying to go to the milkbar under Mia too at one point. Mia was not amused. Unlike me.
At one point I was standing in the goat house with Mia and over on the bench someone was sitting, I think it was Lily or Sassy. Mia looked over at them and let out kind of a huff and then she slowly, very delibrately, walked from the goat house to the bench and then nudged the one sitting on the bench with her nose and pushed her away. And then she jumped up on the bench and sat down in the sun. Pretty clear who’s the boss in the goat pen.
I went over and sat next to her. Relaxing in the sun with Mia’s head resting on my arm, listening to her little snores. Doesn’t get much better than that.

Aww no… rest in peace Wild Bill the goat. I had some… complicated issues.. with his human, at times. But I never doubted her love of animals, or how important Bill was to her. And I know that pain all too well. Heartbreaking worldstopping ache.

We’ve had a lot of sun this week. That’s probably why I was able to get Danish cucumbers in the supermarket yesterday. Mm yeah. Just the other day I wrote on the twitter how I was looking forward to getting good cucmbers and tomatoes. It will probably be a while before they get really good. But I love semi-local cucumbers and tomatoes. So good. Just don’t tell the goats I’m going to start eating their tomatoes. I’ll have a mutiny on my hooves.

A cat picture just triggered a memory of one of my dreams last night. There were cats… but they turned into tigers and lions.
That’s all I remember. I’m pretty sure there was much more to it, because I remember waking up and thinking about how I had to write about it… but now it’s all gone.. other than little cats turning into big tigers and lions.

This was one of my favourite bits on Lost. Rose and Bernard just retiring in a hut at the beach. Everyone was running around, traveling in time, fighting Others and monsters and Dharma Initiative and good vs evil, light vs dark, nuke, guns flaming arrows.
And Rose and Bernard just wanted to sit on the beach and love each other and take care of Vincent the dog. I know it’s just a little thing. But I always found that to be really deep and moving in some weird way. They loved each other and that was all they needed. We all gotta die somewhere some place. Don’t worry bout the end, worry bout the now. Make sure to love.
He said sitting alone at his computer forever alone brb I need ice cream.

Good goat times today. It was a lovely day. Lots of sunshine. And I think it may have gotten up around 10C/50F. And guess what? I TOOK OFF MY COAT! spent some time in t-shirt. Awyeah, feelsgoodman. Maybe a little chilly for it yet, and it will probably be a long whiel before I can do that regularly. But it was just nice to take the coat off for the first time this year.
I mean, for the first time in the goat pen. I take it off when I get home. You probably could have guessed that…
Anyway, that was great. And the heat was on in other ways. Lily was acting up again. But even more this time. Not just little grunting. Like full blown WAA WAA like a buck in heat. Practically spluttering too. Good thing lady goats don’t wear the same kind of perfume that bucks do, is all I’m saying.
She was really hilarioud. Mia was not thrilled. At one point both Sassy and Lily were bothering her. Sassy butting heads and Lilly all blubbering on her. And Mia was not amused. She did that little whinny she does when she’s not happy. It’s not a big “help i’m in distress” bleat. More like a little “this ain’t right dude do something”. So cute. She was smelling pretty musky too, Mia. I wonder if that’s what was setting off Lily. Maybe they’re all in heat. It was completely redonk, though. I, unlike Mia, was highly amused.

Did some ahrd physical labour today. See that big rock in the middle? I dragged that over from little pile of logs. It is very heavy. So heavy I couldn’t lift it, couldn’t even get it off the ground. I had to roll it slowly along, and that wasn’t easy either. I’m going to be feeling it tomorrow…
I also managed to get my finger stuck between the rock and a hard place. I am feeling that already. I actually thought I might loose a fingernail over it. But it’s probably not that bad. Sore, though, and with a dark spot under the nail.
so why did I do it? Because that board there, where the ‘tower’ used to be, has been very loose. When I got there today it was knocked all the way off pretty much. So I hd to try and fix that. I dragged that rock over and then a log on the other side. Seems to have fairly secured it. It’s such a good place for the goats to sit and stand. And when the weather gets better more permanently maybe I can dish out some pumpkin seeds on it again.
Anyway, now i’m very tired and going to bed.
