Well I done got myself a cameo video from Esther the Wonder Pig! I thought it would be a nice way to contribute to their sanctuary and get a wonderful video that I could post on Mia’s page. I wish I could have a big ole goat sanctuary like their place, although I couldn’t handle all the stuff they have to deal with. I wish people in general did this much for animals, instead of all the stupid junk humans do.

Rest in peace Diego Maradona.
I don’t know how many Americans knew about him, being that he was a sportsfootballer. Heck, I don’t even know if kids here today know him. But he was one of the best. One of the very very best, back in the day when football mattered to him. Maradona. Pele. Those were the two that I always thought of as the best. Can we sneak in a Michael Laudrup? Maybe not. But in any case. Notwithstanding his troubled life after his career, he was and will be a legend. The 1986 World Cup, when Denmark had our maybe best team ever, he practically singlehandedly (if you know him, you know the pun) won it for Argentina. And football today just isn’t the same. It’s athletic and gambling and VAR and just.. lacks the romance and wonder. Maybe it’s just nostalgia. But Maradona will always be a name to remind me how much I loved that sport. I don’t know if Ronaldo and Messi are better, but it’s just not the same. Like everything else, it was better back in the beforetimes.

I still do not understand why the President of America should have the power to pardon people.
Sure, maybe some kind of ‘pardoning on humanitarian reasons’ program. But I don’t care if it’s Biden, Trump, Obama or Bush. I don’t see why they should have to decide that criminals go free.
And ESPECIALLY when it’s super current crimes and people who you are personally, or your administration, connected to in any way. How the fuck can you expect that not to be abuseable?
Stick to pardonening turkeys, at least those you know are innocent.

Trigger warning: Star Wars rambling.
After finishing the last Mandalorian episode I guess I have to admit that my theory about them using Babyoda blood to keep Palpatine alive, is probably incorrect. It seems from the end of the episode that they’re probably using the blood to try to make dark force troopers, or something like that.
I still think it would have been a cool idea, i they were using super force blood to keep the completely ravaged body of Palpatine alive. We still don’t really know how he survived, right? Other than.. ‘dark sith magic’. It would have been cool if the yodablood had been life support to begin with and then the sith magic could be to rebuild and strenghten him.
HIRE ME, DISNEY. I will work for porgs.
One of the things I really love about The Mandalorian is the time period. It’s basically a continuation of the original trilogy. Set in that time. Seeing the effects of the empire falling, before the new republican got everything settled. I love that. Some people say it’s too much fan service, but I’m a fan and I like to be serviced. Star Wars has become such a giant beast and the fandom can be so shitty and it’s taken over by a giant Mickey corporation and now they’re going to start doing High Republic stuff and I can’t read the comics and on and on and.. I just want funy adventures with stormtroopers and jawas and stuff. And the Mandalorian is doing that really well. The last episode was really fun. I’d like to get much more of that. Just fun adventures in the time period around the first trilogy. Like the Solo movie. It wasn’t amazing. But it was good fun adventures with characters I love. I wish they could make a series of just Han, Lando and Chewie on adventures.

Good goat times today. Cold and muddy, but at least I got out. I have been feeling a big lack of motivation lately. But it’s always good when I’m there. Thankful for goats.
The workers are still working on the premises. I think it’s a huge project. I doubt they’ll be done this year. A couple of them came over to the fence and called for the goats. So I went over the re and got the goats to follow. Had a little chat and they said hi to the goats. Nice.
Sky was doing a lot of hiding under the goat house. Just sitting under there. Aw girl. I wish she’d at least be out with Milo. I scooped her up and sat on the bench for a while with her in my lap. At one point she did knock heads with Lily, so that was good. I like to see her stand up for herself.
Goat politics. Well, at least it’s honest.

Oh yeah, I forgot something that happened today. When I arrived and the goats were coming to the fence to greet me, Milo and Sky were in the shelter. There’s a gap through the wall and they were both going through it at the same time. And those little chubby kids were stuck for a second, both trying to get through. I had to laugh, but then I got worried because Sky sounded distressed. Turns out Sassy was coming up behind them. Sky just wanted to squeeze through and get away from her. For a second I wondered if I had to go and grease them up to get through the gap. But they did manage to get through. I think that may have been the world telling them it’s time to diet!

Ooo weee! Howsabout that. I was never the hugest Ahsoka fan, but I gotta admit it was really cool seeing her in live-action! I think they nailed the look. Of course I’m visually impaired, so don’t trust me on that. But I thought she looked and moved amazing. It was a little weird having a different voice from her, but all in all it was pretty great and about as good as it could be.
And we got a name for the child! I did not expect that. I heard that there was some toy leak that may had exposed the name, but hadn’t seen it and I was not expecting the show to give it to us now. I’m not sure how I feel about the name, to be honest. But that’s how it usually goes for me with Star Wars names. It takes a while and then I like them. I even like Snoke’s name now, haha.
Speaking of not expecting things, i did not expect that the baby had been at the Jedi temple and had been trained by the masters. That’s not the backstory I was expecting for him at all. Interesting. I wonder what Jedi is going to respond? I mean, official Jedis there’s only Luke around at that time isn’t there? Or Ezra, wherever he is. Hmm.
Also did not expect Thrawn being name dropped! Wonder if he’s going to be a factor. I would still imagine that’s for another cartoon series. The Wacky Adventures of Ezra And Thrawn In the Unknown Regions.
Hmm hmm hmm. It was so cute when Mando said the baby’s name and baby turned and looked and made a sound. Aww.
Now I just want more. More more more. Ahsoka Tano? More like Ahsoka TaYES.

Speaking of the Star War, I have started listening to the new From A Certain Point Of Biew: The Empire Strikes Back book. The first one that was released at the anniversary of A New Hope was wonderful, one of my favourite books of the Disney era. It reminded me so much of the old Tales Of books, that I loved, even if they are not held in high esteem by the fanbase today. But I love that sort of thing. Quirky short stories about the unnamed side characters, the people who are in the frame for 10 seconds in one scene. Tales of the band in the cantina, the brain spiders in Jabba’s palace, the rancor keeper. I love it.
And so far the new book is really good. A few stories in and I have already read a story that made the Wampa ice creature into a sympathetic character! Haha. And the tauntauns.. oh my. I love this story. Did you know that Luke’s tauntaun was the daughter of Han’s tauntaun? Did you know that they long to run free on the ice plains, instead of being tied up and used by humans as transport? They remind me a lot of goats actually. There is headbutting for the hierarchy and relating to humans via treats. I love tauntauns. Getting to know them more personally is going to make it really hard to watch that scene in Empire when they slice her up to stay warm through the night. You think it’s hard seeing the dog die in a movie? Just wait until they slice up a tauntaun who was just a mother that desperately wanted to get out into the night to find her missing daughter.
Point of view stories starring the Wampa monster and the tauntaun lizards. Amazing.
Tatooine is my favourite, but Hoth is pretty cool too.

On the subject of the War in Stars, one of the things I love about That Mandalorian Show, is the music. I read some fans didn’t like it because it was too different and not Star Warsy. But I really dig it. It’s interesting. Cool. Fits the show. And you can’t just always have that John Williams score, as wonderful as it is. It’s really great how The Mandalorian just does everything so well, visually, audioally, fan servicy, new lorey. I’m a fan.

My dad just came round and dropped some stuff off. He seems to be doing better. Not back to normal, but able to move around without so much pain, so that’s something. Hopefulyl he’ll continue to improve. I think my mom has a hospital appointment next week. Or the week after. So we’ll see how that goes. It’s been a real 2020 year. Hope the next one will be better.

My eyes aren’t doing great today. Probably because I slept too much. My vision changes a lot. Depending on if I’ve slept too much or too little, if I’ve been out in the sun, if I’ve been sitting in the dark, if I’ve eaten too much, not enough. Sometimes there’s no rhyme or reason.
It usually stabilizes to the level I’m used to. It’s always a little scary though. Is it this bad forever? Is it the next step towards blindness? Should I be doing this, not be doing that.
I wish it was springtime so I could sit with the goats in the sun.
Didn’t think 2020 would be the season in Seasonal Affective Disorder, but here we are.

Good goat times today. A cold morning, with a little rain. Not the best weather to goat in. Muddy, naturally. We did get a little spell of sunshine later on, so that was something. But this was the first time since last winter that I did not spend any time without a jacket on. Sigh.
But good goats, thankfully. Spent some sweet time in the shelter with Mia, Milo and Sky. The little sitting in the hay and chewing their cud. Mia standing next to me, leaning her head against my chest. I love that closeness.
Nuller was bleating a bit differently today. Usually he’s loud and bratty and sometimes practically unhinged. But today a lot of his bleats were little soft ones, almost like whimpers. Not like there was something wrong with him, it just sounded like a little sad baby. Manipulating me for extra treats. There were loud machines working again too, on the other side of the pen this time. That and the mud made for slightly bothered goats. At least that’s what they said when they asked for extra treats. I guess it’s extra treats for everyone then.

Does anyone else have a lockbox inside them? Not a physical one of course, a mental one. A place you store stuff that’s too painful to think about? I posted a baby picture of Palle on the page yesterday, and someone asked what happened to him. Normally thinking of Palle makes me happy. Enough time has passed that I can remember the joy. But there are some things I just can’t think about without breaking down. And I lock them away in a box and try to keep my distance from them. It’s mostly the deaths of goats really. And a few other things. But I can feel when I approach it. Whne my line of thought starts heading in that direction. Finding Palle.. finding Kamel… Mio collapsing on me.. even just writing this. I have to back off or I’ll fall apart. I just can’t. Can’t let myself.
I know I should confront the feelings and process the memories and face the fears and all that. But I can’t. I’m just going to keep stuffing stuff into that box until it explodes some day. Dynomite.
I wish I could make everything okay for everyone always and no one had to suffer and there was no pain and everything was perfect nonstop. Which would also probably be super healthy. Sigh. Anyway. Life is what happens while you’r busy trying to avoid it, I guess.

Wow.
I’m not gonna lie, it’s kind of amusing seeing Trump lose court case after court case while reeking of desperation on twitter.
But it’s also sad. Putting Rudy in charge of things means he knows he’s not going to win, he’s not even going to really try. He’s just going to keep this going until he’s dragged out of the White House. So he’ll be able to go on his town hall tour and tell everyone that he didn’t lose the election and that it was a coup and he’ll have the whole crowd chanting LOCK THEM UP.
It’s depressing that the Republican party doesn’t have the spine to stand up to him and tell him it’s over. But I guess it’s hard when you have to appease your base, the kind of white militia folks who wanted to have weekly televised executions of public officials in Michigan. Yeah, great people on all sides.

Fucking nuts. I think Biden is currently up almost 6 million in the official count. So a landslide the other way.. That would mean there has been what, 10 million illegal votes? Good goat times today. Cold morning, though. The coldest yet I think. Only barely above freezing. Lots of sun, but it barely helped. I miss springtime..
But the goating is good. I gave Sky some special attention today. To make up for her low standing in th hierarchy. I know it’s just normal for goats, but it’s still sad to see her have to run away from the others so much. So I took her out of the pen and spent some quality time with her. Her, me and three juicy oears. Yum! She enjoyed those a lot. And the peanuts for dessert. I pays off to be the undergoat. Win the hearts of the humans and you’ll get the extra goodies.
Sassy is definitely not the undergoat. She was being a sassy little beotch today. Haha. Chasing the other littles around. Even Lily, her presumed daughter, got a few headbutss in the side. I love the undergoats, but I do also love the bossy goats who think they are the unimpeachable god-emperors of the universe. The ego of a goat is about the size of a funny metaphor that I can’t think of right now.
