Good goat times today. The mornings are getting darker. But lovely day with a good deal of sunshine. And the goats hit the jackpot. Jeanette brought a trailer-load of greens from home, trimmings of hedges and trees. So that was a lovely surprise for the furbies. It didn’t take long before Bella had jumped on top of the pile and was eating it from above. But that’ll give them something to munch on for quite a while.
We had sweet visitors too. A girl called Lily, she’s been there before. Once again she was very interested in me and my camera. Picked it up and tried to push some buttons on it too. Very sweet. Non verbal, but making sounds to communicate at times. And she got to pet the goats too. Very sweet.

Good goat times today. Lovely day with some nice sunshine, once through the colder darker morning. Pretty quiet day today, but we did have visitors. And the goats had treats and cuddles. I did try something funny today, but it’ll be a day or two before I show you probably. Nothing important, just a little gag. You know me, I’m a comedian. A sitdown comedian, because standing up is hard. As Slurm McKenzie said, imma go lie down.

Hanging out with my best gal. I know the kids get a lot of attention, goat kids demand attenion. But rest assured Sky is still my number one girl. Every time I sit down, or am just standing around, she comes over to me and puts her horns against my leg or my hands if they’re within reach. She demands to be petted and scratched. If I don’t start scratching her between the horns then she’ll nudge me with them till I do it. And if I am occupied with something she’ll nudge me a few times and then go ‘alrite, he’s busy, i’ll try again later’. The kids are frantic and insisting, but much more focused on food and treats. And Luna just wants to climb all over me and smooch and nibble on hats and badges and everything. Sky is a lot calmer, although of course she also wants the treats. But I always love when she demands her scritches. Every morning when I’m stretching my legs after walking she’ll be there, horns against my leg.
She doesn’t like sitting on the bench though, she wants to sit on the tub. Sometimes it almost looks like she’s snubbing us, I’ll be sitting with the kids and she’ll be there facing the other direction haha. But I think it’s pretty random how she sits. Sometimes she’ll be facing me and then she starts doing the scoot down to sit and she’ll end up facing away. I always want her to be facing me so I can give her some scratches, but she’s fine just sitting there for ages turned the other way. Sometimes she’ll go sit on the platform too. She likes her alone time now and then.
But yes, just want to make it clear that she’s still getting a whole lotta love and attention. Jeanette always makes sure she at least gets a chance to get some carrot sticks when the visitors feed the goats too. The kids of course snarf them down immediately and continuously, but Sky is slower and sometimes she doesn’t want them and if she does want them she usually have to nibble at them for a bit before she gets them in her mouth. I have shown in videos on the page too that sometimes in the morning it’s like she can’t eat the peanuts, they drop out of her mouth. She can take the raisins okay, and once she’s had some of those she can usually take the peanuts, it’s like she needs to warm up her mouth first.
Anyway, enough rambling! I love my Sky girl. She’s all I have left of the old days and she means the world to me.

Good goat times today. A lovely day, pretty warm and sunny. I know I’ve said it before, but this time it really probably is the last one. The forecast ahead is pretty downcast. But still, it’s almost October, so it’s pretty impressive having a day that reaches 20C/68F. Let’s thank all the farting cows for the global warming, let the next generations worry about it.
Aaanyhoo. Just good to be with the goats again, where I feel good. Just hanging around. We had several groups of visitors today. One group came while Jeanette wasn’t there, so I went to the fence and talked a little with them. Then Jeanette came out and the kids got to feed carrot sticks to the goats. And I came up in the conversation, what I do with the goats and my facebook page and everything. It’s always nice to get a little recognition. People are usually impressed when I say I have over 30,000 followers. Never mind there’s only a fraction of that who are really active and engaged users. It’s still cool. And i usually give them the fb name so hopefully they can look up the page and see more about the goats.
Luna is becoming a really good petting goat. Once the carrot sticks are consumed at least. The kids are frantic for the treats. But after they’re gone, Luna will stand still and let the humankids pet her, she’s reminding me a bit of grandma and Mia like that. I hope she’ll keep it up. She’s also very smoochy to me now, if i make kissy noises at her she’ll usually try to smooch me, sometimes even without it ending up with her trying to eat my nose. She’s a doll.

Sometimes when I get there in the morning the goats are up on the platform. The funny thing is that Luna is there on the ramp. I am not sure if Sky and Bella kept her frmo getting all the way up, but I don’t think so. It has happened sometimes when I’m there too, it almost seems like she likes standing there on the ramp. It’s the steepest one too. You wouldn’t think it was a very comfortable way to hang out, but I guess according to goat logic, if you’re on something then you’re good.

Snerpfrerpit. Spent hours trying to find a way to get videos to post on the goat page. Finally worked, but I am not even sure if it was something I did or if fb fixed something. I still can’t upload videos through the fb content system place, raw videos from my camera upload okay but the ones I have edited and compressed don’t work. I tried so many codecs and filters and ugh. This wasn’t how I wanted to spend my day. But as long as it works to a degree, now. Hopefully.
I’m gonna go hop into a pot of soup.
You know, a witch would have a really easy time with me. Wouldn’t have to trick me to get itno the oven or into the pot, I’d just go. CHARBROILED.

Goats! Why’d it have to be goats?! I love goats, now I’ll never be able to tear myself away and go fight nazis.
Haha. Well, this was the dumb gag I was promising. As you may be aware I have been rewatching the Indiana Jones movies. And that reminded me, once upon a blue moon I actually bought a hat. I don’t even remember what I was intending to do with it, if I was going to try to seriously use it as a style upgrade. Or if I was going to take dumb goat photos with it. Probably the latter. I may even have taken some pictures years ago, I don’t honestly remember. But then I stuffed it in a box and put it away. But I thought since I’m on an Indy trip it would be fun to dust it off and take it for a spin. When Jeanette saw me sitting on the bench wearing it she went “Is that a new hat? How cool!”. Haha. I suspect she was being polite. Or too far away to get a good look. It doesn’t fit too well and heck I don’t even know if I got it on right. The goats… didn’t really care. Didn’t even really want to try to eat it. Everyone’s a critic!

The dork in the hat is back *indy fanfare*
My Indiana Jones rewatch just finished The Last Crusade. I love that movie. I know it’s not the highest regarded of them, but I always enjoyed it a lot. It’s another fun adventure. Definitely playing it safe, probably because they were coming off Temple Of Doom. I love parts of Temple, but the rampant racism and misoginy and the improbable story and darkness just makes it less enjoyable to me. Crusade is bright and fun. And Connery is a delight, to me at least. It’s a lot of what I want from an Indy movie.
Next up is Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. Uh oh! Haha. It will be interesting to watch it again. I barely remember it. The other ones I have watched so many time, but Skull only once. And that wasn’t even a proper viewing. Because of my social phobia I do not go to the cinema. And there was a period in my life where I would ..ahem.. acquire.. movies from the internet. I would download cam copies. Remember the Seinfeld episode where Kramer films movie in the theatre? Well, that’s the kind of version I watched of some movies. Because I couldn’t wait for them to be released on dvd. So, that’s a bad way to watch a movie. I wonder if I will enjoy it more when I watch a proper quality version. We will see, I guess! I have seen some people, whomst have not enjoyed the new movie, saying that in hindsight Skull wasn’t actually as bad as its reputation.

Good goat times today. A cold wind made me wish I’d worn a jacket today, for the first time this season. But otherwise nice. Jeanette out sick, probably that thing she felt brewing last week. Hope she’ll be back soon. The goats had some big power struggles on the tub and boxes. And then later we sat inside and relaxed. I took a little nap. Was sitting with Luna on one side and Sky on the other, Bella on her corner on the platform in the back. Luna was leaning her head on my leg and drifted off. And so did I. Just a quick powernap. But so cozy and comfy.

Well, I got good news about my dad. For a change. He’s coming home today! Yes, I was shocked to hear that. Very unexpected, but certainly good news.
He went to Rigshospitalet today for the tests, and they found that he had had a blood clot in the heart, which can be serious enough. But not as serious as some of the things we were fearing. I’m guessing he’ll be taking blood thinning medication or something like that. But he’s on his way home, should be back tonight. I thought it would be at least a week, or two. But I’m thankful that it wasn’t worse, hopefully coming home so soon is the right choice, I would have thought maybe staying a day or two more might be smart, but I can understand he’s eager to come back home. Let’s hope that he will be okay now. With the alzheimer’s and everything there’s always a lot of concerns. But hopefully he’ll be feeling better now.

Bella in her corner agan. It’s funny how they’ll have their favourite spots, and then change it up. For a while she’d always sit in the hay box but not anymore. Now she goes to that corner and sits with her legs hanging over the edge. Or if we’re down by the bench she likes to sit on the tub, if Sky isn’t on it. Maybe it’s just all random, who knows what the mind of a goat contains!

Good goat times today. Typical Fall weather. Ran AND shine. Rained on my walk there. Then before too long the sun broke out and we had some lovely shine until the thunder came rolling in and the rain came back. So most of the time spent in the goat house.
Jeanette still out sick, so our visitors had to stay outside the goat pen to see the goats. I did lift Luna up for them so they could pet her. I wonder how long I’ll be able to do that, she’s getting heavier! When we walked down to hte fence she was walking with me, dashing around my legs. Which made a lady with the kids go “just like a puppy dog” yes indeed. Shakes paws too.

Talked to my dad today. He sounded very weak and tired, but that’s understandable. Happy to have him home, though. Now he just needs to get back on his feet. He has been discharged from the hospita and apparently there’s no more treatment to follow, I thought he’d get meds or something. But I guess not. He’ll be going see his own doctor in a couple of days, maybe they’ll want to do something going forward. I guess we’ll see. For now he just needs to take it easy. Apparently his heart is looking okay, is what they saw when they did the exam through the arteries or veins or whatever, the blood clot is disolved. Let’s hope he can get back to his old self again, even though there are still lots of issues in that state.

Good goat times today. Jeanette back at work. Although she wasn’t feeling too good, and I could tell. But she still wanted to come in to make sure the goats were well taken care of, to her credit.
It was a lovely day too, lots of sunshine and nicely warm. One last day of summer in the fall, this time I mean it.
Had a fall today, though. I was sitting on the mountain. Jesper Handyman came over to the fence and asked “Isn’t it too wet to sit there?”. And I said “Yeah kinda, but it’s fine”. Well, 10 minutes later when I got up and walked down the mountain I slid in the mud and fell. Now all my other many multiple so many falls have usually been me tripping over something in front of me that I didn’t see and thus falling forward and cracking all my ribs. Here I was sliding downwards and fell backwards. Thankfully the sott, wet ground didn’t hurt me too much. But it was one of those moment where you have the time to think “Well, I’m not going to be regaining this balance, here we goooo” and then hit the ground. But unless my bones are aching tomorrow, I think I got away with no inuries. Just a mudful of pants and shirt. C’est la vie.
Sweet visitors today too. Some of them looking on from the fence. And a boy from the neighbour school called Khalil. He was full of energy. Running around in the goat pen. I’m pretty sure he’s been visiting before. The lady who was with him was afraid of the goats. So Jeanette, barely recovered, had to run around and keep up with the little firecracker. But he had a lot of fun I think. He had the energy of a goat kid, speaking of the energy of a goat kid, the kids had 10 minute headbutting session that left me almost out of breath from just watching. They were doing it on the updturned boxes, while Sky sat herself down on the big tub and chewed her cud like “you kids knock yourselves out, literally”. Fun and games.

Well, I put some hairbands on her horns to try and make it easier to see who’s who. Took her about 5 minutes to get one of them off. Troublemaker! I put it back on and it stayed for the rest of the day. Took them off when I left, because I doubt they’ll stay on when I’m not around. But we’ll see if I keep up with it.

Sky and Bella relaxing. I was surprised that Sky let Bella have the big tub. That’s usually Sky’s spot. Bella likes to sit on it when it’s available. She sat down on it today nd then Sky came over and I thought she’d be pushing Bella away. But instead she spent a couple of minutes finding a comfortable spot on the two other boxes. I’ve been putting the two boxes next to the tub a lot, because it makes for a fun playfield, good power struggle arena. But anyway, nice of Sky to let Bella have the higher ground. Maybe it’s a sign of respect. Or maybe it’s just a sign of “I’m so damn tired, I just need to sit without getting into a 10 minute headbutting session over who gets what spot”.

Oh right. I forgot to mention. Jesper Handyman told me that we’ve had another police raid at the playground. Yesterday, when I wasn’t there. Apparently the police was there with dogs and drones. Wowza. You may recall some months ago there was a dog squad searching for something around tthe playground. Apparently we live in hotbed of crime, maybe some scum and villainy.
I wonder what they were looking for this time. There actually was an incident in the hood on Monday night. A shooting. Apparently ten shots were fired. Now, no one was hurt. No reports that anyone was shot at. I figure maybe it was young people firing guns up in the air or some dumb shirt like that. Yeah, welcome to Texas-in-Denmark. In Denmark it is big news when guns are fired, whether anyone is hurt or not. So maybe itw as connected to that. Although I don’t think the shots were fired near the playground, they were actually fired on my street. Yes, once again I saw my street was in the news for serious crime (I haven’t heard any real news about the double murder guy, which is a sentence I never thought I’d say about my neighbourhood). But to be fair, ‘my street’ is a bit of a misnomer, the street name covers a bit of ground, not just one long street. I think the shooting took place over by the shopping center where I used to do my shopping, so five minutes away or so. It’s a 20-25 ish minute walk to the goats. But that’s the only thing I can think of. It happened Monday night, and I didn’t even know. Around 10.30 pm, so I may already have had my earplugs in and been dozing off. Or maybe I thought it was fireworks, it happens about once a week or sometimes more than fireworks go off around here. Sometimes I think “is that gunshots?!” but it’s usually pretty clear that it’s fireworks.
Anyway. Hope the goats weren’t spooked too much, I know last time they were not happy about the dogs and all the commotion. Maybe I should get a drone to do some goat filming with some time…
Anyway anyway, I just hope the cops didn’t find any traces of all the hookers and blow I’ve been doing. Oh righ that also reminds me. Remember I mentioned someone messaged me and offered me 500 dollars to put ads on my goat page? Well today I got a message offering me 1800 dollars for ONE ad on my page. Haahaa. Yeah, that’s definitely not a scam. Sheesh. Well, imagine all the hookers and blow I could get for 10 days of ads like that. Nevermind painting Bella’s horns, i’ll give her a diamon necklade, and a crown for Sky and I guess Luna can get.. golden boots. I’ll be able to tell everyone apart then.

Well, I didn’t go quite unscathed from the fall yesterday. Feeling pretty sore. Mostly my stomach, the muscles. I think I must have tensed up when I fell or something. But it’s not too bad. I’ll just soften it up with some warm soup.

My dad just dropped by for a visit. Dropped some stuff off. I was surprised to see him, I thought it would be a while before he was up and about. I know he likes getting out, he doesn’t like to just sit and home and do nothing. He seemed in good spirits and actually seemed quite alert and in good condition. Honestly he seemed better than he did before he went on the trip and had the heart issue. So that was at least good to see. Still have to be careful. He was at the doctor’s today and had more tests, so we’ll see if there’s more stuff to do. But it seems like he’s recovering okay. Even though he insists he had a blood clot in the brain, while my mom says it was in the heart. Which makes a lot more sense. With all due respect to my dad, I trust my mother’s word over his on this. His memory is not good. And I don’t know why they would do all the heart exams and stuff if it was the brain. A precaution, dad said. Eh yeah I don’t think so. But as long as the doctors know where the problem was…
Just good to see him again and have him recovering. I really just want some uncomplicated time, no goats or humans getting hurt.

Managed to get through Temple Of Doom. Took a couple of sittings. I do love parts of it, but there are parts of it that just drags a bit. And there’s always an undercurrent of .. how racist is TOO racist? Because I feel like it’s pushing the limits at places. But I do love Indy, I do.
Took a break to watch some Ahsoka too. Really loving it, the last two episodes have been some of the best Star War in a long time. Finally got to see our Mikkelsen Thrawn. I admit, I kinda want Thrawn to be bluer and Hera to be greener. But ok, I guess you have to tone it down when you go from cartoons to live action. There were parts of the latest episode that made me think of Jim Henson and the Labyrinth. You know, the crab people. Sad that there’s only a couple of episodes left, who knows how long it will be before there’s a new season, or the Filoni movie.
Now it’s 1.30 am so I should probably stop nerdtalking and get some sleep.
