I Love You, Hayden Panettiere
Still not a lot going on in 2010.
I made it to the foot therapist yesterday. Had my feet pampered for a while. I’m quite ticklish, though, so I have to try not to jump too much. But it’s nice, and the foot therapist is a nice guy.
Did a little site work today. For the first time in 5 months. Fixed up the old entry list which was abandoned back when my site almost died and I lost lots of entries. Also updated my book page. Now that I have audiobooks there is actually something to put on there.
Speaking of books, I got one in the mail today. I can’t remember if I mentioned it, but I ordered The Official Book of Ultima on amazon. I have wanted that book for so long. And now I have it. I was secretly hoping that they had used a font big enough for me to read. But no such luck. I can almost read it. A little. But it would be too hard to read the whole thing. So I guess all I can do is put it on the book shelf and hope for some day things will get better. Maybe when I get the oil out of my eyes and have to start wearing glasses again. Maybe then I will be able to read it. You never know. Better not get my hopes up.
In other news, I have watched three movies in the last week’s time. It’s nice to be “reading” books again and watching movies. Although it’s difficult, the movies. Three quite different experiences. There was I Love You, Beth Cooper. Very easy to follow, almost like a long sitcom, linear and uncomplicated. Then there was The Time Traveler’s Wife. Very unlinear because of all the time jumps. Made it much harder to follow. But it helped that I had read the book of course. I love the book. The movie wasn’t near as good. The book was one of the first I read when I startred “seriously” reading again. It’s still one of my favourites.
The final movie was Terminator Salvation. That was the hardest to follow because of all the dark, fast action. I also watched the new Star Trek movie and that had some of the same problem. Sci-fi CGI action. I used to love that stuff. Now it’s difficult to watch. It was kind of funny, I almost fell asleep to Terminator. I was sitting there in my comfy chair with my head slowly slipping down, almost nodding off. Like an old grandad watching a documentary or something. It’s a little strange, almost nodding off to loud killer robots and nuclear explosions. But oh well. It helps to go on wikipedia afterwards and read up on the plot. Then it all makes sense.
Sorry for being terribly boring, I’m sure some disaster will come along and spice things up soon.

Hay, hay! You’re not boring. Did the foot doctor paint your toenails vivid red? hee, hee
It’s cold here. It’s 18 F (-7 C) with a 22 mph wind blowing. We had about 4 more inches of snow that is now blowing and drifting something fierce. It’s going down to -10F (-23C) tonight and the wind is to let up some after midnight.
It was almost warm in the barn after walking into the wind on the way out. Nasty little bits of snow blowing in my eyes and nose. I had my head down (just like any good goat would do) and I almost plowed into a snow drift which would have been up to my knees (or over my head if I was a good goat).
Luckily I stopped before I got drifted in and went around it a ways down the yard. It’s almost white-out conditions now and will be worse come night time. Glad we don’t need to be out on the road traveling tonight.
Everyone had a nice drink of warm water. Nobody makes warm water like their “mommy” does!

Debster – The foot therapist did not paint my toenails no. He did cut them and poke them and grind them with mechanical contraptions. I’ve never been good at cutting my toenails and now that I can’t see what I’m doing it’s even harder. So it’s quite handy to get some help with that.
Make sure to be careful when it’s all snowy outside. I hope nobody want their houses painted in the middle of a snowstorm!
