Adorable R Us

It’s been a lovely week. There’s really not that much to say about it. Other than. You know. Baby goats. I have spent as much time as possible with them. And it has been a lot of fun. Seeing them get out in the pen. First hesitant steps. Followed by many more fast and furious steps of exploration and adventure. Followed by long naps curled up in my lap after tiring themselves out. I love spending the day with them.

And they’re both doing great. Even the little guy is growing. The big guy is still the most lively one, but it’s a close call. Oh they’re going to get in so much trouble. Little rascals. It’s great that there are two, so they can play together. Even though it’s better to have girls it’s still so cute seeing two brothers getting up to no good. They have already started playmounting each other. And the big guy has started pushing his head against my leg as if trying to push me. Most of the time he just jumps up against my leg. Or the wall. Or whatever else he can get at. He loves jumping up against things.

The other goats have started paying more attention to the little ones. Mostly swatting them away when they get too close. Palle can obviously sense that they are new little buckly competitors for the baby crown. He will try to ram them sometimes. Herman seems the most curious about them, almost like he keeps coming back to check on them. He’s mostly sweet to them. Apart from that one time he chased them out in the rain. But they’re handling themselves very well. And mommy is always close by for protection if the situation gets a little sticky.

And I think that’s it. Let’s just proceed with a million pictures.

Taking Mia’s spot on the bench! Doesn’t quite fill it out as much, though.

And as if that wasn’t enough, a couple of goatlogs.
The first one with the kids’ first steps outside. The second one with their first time in the rain. And both of them with so much cute and fun. They’re long, but what can you do. I can’t bear to edit all the lovely out of them.

And that’s all for this time, folks. Pretty sure there’ll be more next week. Pretty, pretty sure.

They are growing up so fast already! What a pair of cuties are how lucky they are to have you so they can learn all about humans.

I was able to spend some time with our goatzies on my birthday last Thursday, the 28th. They were on the wood pyramid when I went out to give them some scratches. Nothing like a warm drowsy goat to love.

growing daily. Too big to lift in one hand now! Good thing I have two! Hands, and baby goats.
Happy belated birthday! It’s good to have goats to share it with. And now we know the secret of who built the pyramids. It was the goats! Or, humans for the goats.
