Sounded So Much Prettier In Spanish

The weekend is slowly running out. I must quickly tell the cat stories before it’s too late.

Cat story number 1:

I wake up the night after Friday. Around 7 am. I guess technically that’s morning, not night. But since it’s weekend I feel comfortable calling it night. Okay. I wake up by something moving on my bed. On top of my legs. There’s something in the room with me…

I don’t panick though. Because I have once in the past gone into my bed room only to find a cat in there. So I figured it was probably a cat this time too. I reached out slowly and turned on my nightlamp. And there it was. A kitty walking over my legs. It jumped down on the floor and looked around. I was still sort of half asleep, half amazed. So I just looked at it as it jumped back up on my bed. And then further up onto the window sill. Where my nightlamp is. The cat looked down on the lamp a little. Then it jumped out of the window and was gone.

It was a very cold night, I wonder if it was looking for a warm place to sleep. Or something to eat. I wouldn’t have minded if it had stayed. I would have even gotten it something to eat. But out into the night it went. I wonder if it was one of the jedi kitties. It didn’t get scared when I turned on the light though. It seemed like it didn’t notice me there at all.

But that was a funny little nighttime encounter.

So yesterday I go shopping in Aktiv Super. That’s just an excuse to go by the playground and see if the animals are out. They weren’t yesterday though. So I disappointedly grabbed my bike and started walking away. Then I heard a soft meow. I looked around, but didn’t see anything. So I started walking again. There it is again. Soft mews. Mew Mew, like the band and that other thing. I dropped my bike against some bushes and started looking around. And sure enough, a cat was walking around outside the playground house.

I went up to it. At first it was looking at me cautiously, backing off a little. But then I reached out my hand towards it and it came to me. Started rubbing up against my legs and letting me cuddle it. Aw. I went and sat down on a bench and it followed me and climbed up in my lap. Started climbing around on me, pushing it’s head into my hands. And I was petting it and cooing to it. What a sweet little cat it was. And pretty.

Pretty kitty.

Lovely.

I sat there for quite a while and just enjoyed it. I could have sat there all day. But then a car arrived. It was Per, who works at the playground. He was coming to show the playground to his parents-in-law. Sweet. The cat walked down to them. I’ve seen the cat at the playground before, I think it knows Per.

It was such a sweet and loving cat. I wish I could have taken it home. It was shivering a bit in the cold at first. But it was so tame, it must be someone’s pet. And I’m not allowed to have cats where I live anyway.

But… I want a cat. I need a kitty of my own. You can tell how starved I am for love and affection when just meeting a little cat makes me so happy.

Let’s not forget the other animals though. The piglets for example.

The piglets featuring Groucho

They’re getting so big. They will probably be leaving soon, no room for all of them. I’ll miss Groucho, he always cracks me up with those “eyebrows”.

a twin you would like

One of the twins.

lamb eating raisin

The one that likes raisins. She follows me around and chews at my pants or shoelaces or whatever she can get to. And the other one stays away. One shy, one mini-Mads looking for food.

That’s it. I’m tired and must go to bed. Only two weeks till vacation! OMGZ. That’s going to be so good. Sleep for days. And animals. Maybe snow. And of course the jolly fat guy. No wait, I don’t think dad is coming home this christmas. Haha. Sorry. He’s not fat really, not in this family.

So anyway, zzzzz.

I get really excited about meeting cats on the street as well. I am always looking for them and secretly hoping they will follow me home. You’re very lucky to have a cat so eager to follow you home that it tracks you down in bed.

Cats are great! And especially when you, like me, live on your own, and they (it) just can’t leave you alone. It just want’s to touch and be touched all the time.

Really nice. Sure you have to have your own cat. I guess any cat would feel great with an animallover like you :)
