I’m not feeling too horrible. Yet. I still have that feeling that it will get worse before it gets better. I felt good enough to go up to Favorit and buy today’s paper and some vitamins. And my decision was not at all influenced by the fact that the playground is right next to Favorit. Nope. Not one bit. Okay, you caught me. All I really wanted was to say hello to the goats. Which I did. And which made me feel better. I don’t know how smart it was, even the short walk up there left me drained and snotty, but you can’t put a price on mental health.

And also I ran into Moomincat. Yup. While walking home, just a couple of minutes from my house. He came walking round the corner. I don’t know if he recognised me. Normally when he jumps in through my window it’s late at night and I’m dressed for bed, ie not wearing much. Today I was wearing sweaters and large jackets and gloves and thermo socks and scarves and hats and whatever else I had digged out of my closet. But when I knelt down and made kissy-kissy noises (I have found that he seems to like those noises) then he did meoow at me and came up to my hand so I could give him a good cuddle.

I wanted to bring him home with me. Having a friendly cat would make it much nicer to lie in bed and be sick. But I must remember that he is not my cat, he is his own cat. And he seemed to have places to go so I let him be on his merry way. If I’m lucky he’ll come by the house later. And if not then I’ll just have to wait. It’s a good lesson in not taking things for granted.

Now if you’ll excuse me I have a date with 2 lovely girls, the bathroom and the bedroom.
