A New Light
Phew, I’m tellin’ ya, it’s hard getting back to work. Good too, though. I’m just very tired. I dropped my bank card by accident, bent down to pick it up. And when I got back up I almost fell over. I was so dizzy and my head spinning.
I have the best boss in the world. Sanne let me leave early because I was so tired. I don’t deserve the kindness I receive from people, from you all. I owe the world a karmic debt. Don’t worry, I’ll repay. I will find a way.
How about some goat kid pictures for a start?
Little 3B. He is always chewing and licking at everything. Much more so than the girls. Don’t ask me why. But it’s awfully cute anyway. It is especially adorable when he bumps his head against you because he apparently thinks that you’re his mother’s udders and that he can get you to release milk to him.
Vanilje got it right.
And Nougat got sleepy.
I like how they always lie down together. A huge bunch of cuteness.
Nothing new from Magnethe. She is still hugely pregnant. She spent almost the entire time I was there today moaning and groaning. Poor girl. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are new goat kids waiting for me when I get there tomorrow. Friday at the latest. Would be best if it happened before the weekend. For Magnethe too.
With all this excitement at the playground I have neglected Moomincat a little. At least neglected talking about him. But he has still been visiting occasionally. Coming and going as he pleases.
Today I had a really good moment with him. I was sleeping, tired after work. He woke me up with soft mews from the window sill. Then he jumped down on me. Normally he’d jump on down to the floor, but I grabbed a hold of him and cuddled him a little. And then he lied down on my stomach. Or chest, almost. And for a while he was lying there and I was nuzzling him with my finger. He closed his eyes in that contented cat way and purred. It was really a beautiful moment, I think we were both quite happy. I didn’t have my camera unfortunately. But I got up and got it and tried to recreate the moment. Moomincat wasn’t too pleased with the disturbance I think. But he settled down on my stomach again. And eventually he almost fell asleep. And I almost did too. He is a wonderful cat.
Animals are happiness.
Finally, a huge congratulations to Desiree. She’s a human, not a goat. And she gave birth to Raven, who I’m sure is the most wonderful human baby in the world. She certainly has a wonderful mother. Congrats!
