The Fever of the Night
I played Cannon Fodder 2 via Amiga emulator today.
I have been feeling nostalgic today.
I watched part 1 of Stephen King’s IT today.
You can sort of compare the Amiga games to the IT. The IT used to scare the begeesus of me. I was so frightened that I could barely watch it. Today? It just seems a little silly. It’s not the same. And that goes for the Amiga games too. I remember them so fondly. But it’s not the same. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve gotten older, if it’s because emulators just aren’t the same as the real thing, if it’s because the PC joystick isn’t as good as the Amiga one. Or what it is. But it doesn’t thrill me as much, just likE IT doesn’t scare me so much.
Some of the games are still good though. Cannon Fodder is still a good laugh. Maybe because it’s a mouse game?
I had a bad dream last night. One of those I don’t like. The goats weren’t hurt. But in the dream I was aware that it was a dream. And every time I woke up, it turned out to still be the dream. I remember lying in bed, in the dream, and wondering if I was dead and this was my hell. It’s a good thing those dreams don’t happen often. They creep me out like Pennywise the clown and BOB combined.

Boo! Steven King scares me too much. I couldn’t finish reading “Pet Cemetary” and I think of “Cujo” every now and again. “Shudders”.
I have no idea what an Amiga Emulator is. First thing comes to mind is you are trying to be like an Emu – like an ostrich only smaller. Ostrichs have plumey feathers, & you are the “Plume”, okay I know I’m reaching here. Enlighten me – in simple terms – as I’m a simple person.
Goat joy today! Got to see some neighbor’s two new Boer goats. Hank is the boy and has a light brown head and Iris is the girl. She has a dark black head and both have white bodies. I think they were born in January and Hank is already the size of our pygmy goats. And our goats are 15 months old! (Guess that’s why they are called “pygmy goats”). Hank and Iris are so friendly and soft. They stood still for petting and scratches.
Time to go visit our two boys, John Boy & Billy and give them a treat and do a little combing and grooming on them. Don’t need to tell you how much joy and fun goats can bring to your life.

Deb – Haha! Emu emulator. That’s grand. No, an Amiga emulator is a program that emulates an Amiga. You know what an Amiga is? An old computer. So with an Amiga emulator you can play Amiga games. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with emus.
I wish I could have goats in my back yard. Just reading about yours makes me happy.
Pygmy goats are called dværggeder in Danish. Dwarf goats. Hehe.
