No Safety Net
If you’re wondering why I haven’t updated since last Wednesday then let me tell you: get a life! Go do something outside! Read a book!
No, no. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean that. I apologise. Here, let me start again.
If you’re wondering why I haven’t updated since last Wednesday then let me tell you: my internet is down. And so am I. I’m at work now. Sweet work-internet.
I will be calling my ISP when I get home, to see if they can help me. Trouble is, it was myself that destroyed my connection. Well, alls I dids was open a few ports in my router. And now I can’t do nothing, I can’t even telnet the damn thing. The same situation happened about a week ago, but back then the problem sort of fixed itself after some reboots and stuff. I have spent the entire weekend pulling the power cord out of the router and poking it back in and hoping to see the lights blinking. But hopefully my ISP will know what to do. It’s their router. I’m just worried they’ll say it’s dead or that they want me to start using their new cordless router thingie. I don’t want that. I just want my old one to work. Or I’ll have to jump off a tall building or something.
It better work by Thursday, when the Lost season finale comes out. Otherwise I don’t know what to do. But I’ll jump off of that bridge when I get to it.
I actually have some rather good news. For me. But I will let you know when my own internet is working again. My boss is pointing at her watch and at the fireman’s axe hanging on the wall. I better get back to work.
See you in the funny pages.

You haven’t been on since last Wed??? (ha, ha – I knew it! There was something missing the last few days.) Hope you get your problems fixed. Wouldn’t that be nice if all our problems could be fixed by calling someone?
I have been reading our latest book for the book club – it is called “Team of Rivals” and is about Abraham Lincoln. It is a HUGE book, sometimes interesting and sometimes not. I would NOT recommend it unless you are a huge Lincoln and American Civil War fan. Which I think would probably not interest you in Denmark. But then again, maybe everyone has a big poster of Old Abe hanging on their wall. Not!
My husband, Sam and I went to a wedding/reception on Saturday evening and then to a high school graduation party on Sunday night. We keep getting invited to things like this, we won’t have to cook supper for awhile as there is always food and cake involved!
You sound better, like you are feeling good. (Are you alright???) The funny humourous Plume is back. That’s good. A “happy Plume” is a wonderful thing to behold!

Maria – Actually I meant to say “wireless”. But in any case I don’t want it! I want my trusty old cisco 677 router. The future can kiss my ass.
hanne – Hehe. Well I haven’t picked up the Gunilla book yet. And haven’t heard anything about the Gorilla book yet. But I’ll get to it all. Hope to talk to you again soon too.
Deb – I wish I had one of those red telephones that they have in Batman and other shows. With a straight line to the mayor or chief of police. Only mine would be straight to god. Or whoever is in charge. That’d be neat.
I kinda find American history interesting, but I don’t know if I’d be ready for a giant book about Abe. Maybe later hehe.
I’m feeling okay. Just frustrated at my darn internet. But at least not suffering from severe depression at the moment. So that’s something.

Maria – I dunno. But it’s wireless router and cordless mouse. Go figure skate.
