Bouquet
Back to reality.
I’m not sure if I actually stated it clearly, but I didn’t manage to get to work all last week. What a horrible week that was. I spent most of the time in bed, constantly tired and so sad that I could barely do anything. People who haven’t experienced real depression can’t imagine how incapacitating it can be.
But I got up today, and went to work. And I’m feeling somewhat better. I hope I can keep it going. I will do my best.
When I got to the playground it had started raining. Quite a lot. Pernille poked her head out of the door and called to me. Told me that the goats were outside, but I could just let them in. That was exactly what I wanted to do. So I could sit inside with them.
Mads watching the rain. You can just about make out Kulle outside. The lambs were not so lucky, they had to endure the rain. It wasn’t too long before the sun came back though.
Vanilje went outside when the rain slowed down. She is not as afraid of water as Mads is.
But Mads now has control of the hatch, so no one is safe.
I think Magnethe has misunderstood The Trick. She’s supposed to go up on the bucket, not stand in it. Hehe. And in the back is Vanilje, jumping up as she likes to do.
Sigh. Mathilde always used to stand in the buckets like that. I miss her.
I hope they have lots of buckets where she is now.

She looks very contented standing in the bucket. I like the expression on her face. It’s like a child playing in the mud and waves at everyone who passes by. Life can be sweet at the little things that pop up.

Magnethe has had a hard day at the playground and wants to soak her feet! She is demonstrating the newest “Goat Spa Foot Soaker” for those goats who can’t get away to a resort or spa.
Vanilje looks like a flying goat! Took me a second to figure out what that white object behind Magnethe was.
Glad to hear you’re feeling better. No, I didn’t realize you’d been off work last week.
We were able to visit our neighbor’s goat herd last week. Their son, who is in high school, is raising Boer goats. He has one billy named Hank. We saw Hank when he was just a little goat, now he has really grown up and is so beautifully marked.
He wants to visit the eight “girl” goats in the other pen. I think that will happen soon, so can’t wait to see how many baby goats are born in April!
Even if Hank has a certain “goaty” smell now, he still enjoys scratches on his head and is friendly. My husband can’t smell that smell and I don’t really find it offensive at all. I guess we are just truly goat lovers.

Luis – yes, her expression is lovely. She looks pleased with herself and the situation. Sweet.
Deb – Hehe. Maybe I oughta give her a manicure some day. I’m sure she could get used to being pampered!
Hmm, who needs a UFO. I want a UFG. Unidentified Flying Goat. Although, I guess we have identified her.
I love boers. And I don’t mind the goat smell either. I miss it actually. 3B had a pleasant fragrance. To me anyway. I hope there will be plenty of babies!
