Baah Humbug
There is nothing about a Monday morning that doesn’t suck.
Even the cola truck mocks me. “Don’t you want a fresh, cold cola, Plume? Don’t you want me? Aren’t you thirsty? Forget about going to work. Jump in and drive me away. We’ll live together in the country and forget our worries”. Oh damn you cola truck, stop tempting me.
Luckily later on the lambs come out.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=CChBwdp6134. A new lamb video. It is adorable, I say. There is no leaping. But lots of baahing. And it gives you the chance to hear how different they are. Kridte has a fairly “clean” baah. Normal sounding even. Kulle has a more frayed, groaning sort of baah. I don’t know how to describe it. But give it a listen. I’m sure you’ll find them cute.
While I was walking around and shooting the lambs, the goats were trying to get my attention.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=6TPvoGu9suU. Vanilje and Magnethe trying to squeeze a camel through a keyhole. Or rather, their heads through the gaps in the fence.
So I hugged Magnethe and never let her go.
Meanwhile mother’s soup is to die for. I might have to never move out. I will never be able to cook soup like that on my own. Better live here and live off her soup forever. Sounds like a plan.

Now that you’ve got us all craving/wanting/desiring “soup”, WHAT KIND IS IT? Is it a secret recipe or can you tell us what’s in it? Inquiring minds want to know.
We had BBQ beef sandwiches, chips, and macaroni and cheese for supper tonight. Yum, yum!
The goats had some grain, hay, some peanuts and a few crackers. They were happy about that. They aren’t spoiled, no . . . they aren’t.

Deb – Hehe. Well I suppose it’s.. chicken soup. Really, it’s nothing fancy. It’s chicken and vegetables. But it’s so gooood.
I wonder if I could make soup out of raisins and and carrots and hazelnuts and crackers and peanuts. I think the goats might like that.

Little Kulle sounds like a human doing a very bad lamb imitation. I can baaaa better than that!
Does the soup have noodles, carrots, celery, etc. in it? Sounds good. Please send some to me, okay.
Sounds like you have the makings of “goat gorp” (otherwise known as trail mix) with the raisins, carrots, nuts, crackers, and peanuts.
I think I heard laughing when the goats were sticking their heads thru the fence. Was that the goats or was it YOU? You are getting jollier by the minute.

Deb – Haha. I bet you could outbaah him. We should hold a baahing competition. Tehee.
When the soup is cooked there are all kinds of vegetables in it. Then when it is served we usually have carrots and potatoes. And meat balls and flour balls. Sometimes I’ll add noodles myself, if I’m cooking up a quick meal and I don’t wanna deal with the veggies.
I like the sound of “goat gorp”. I have never heard of it before, but it sounds gorplishious.
That was my laugh indeed. The goats thought that I had treats for them so they were trying to squeeze their heads out of the little gaps in the fence, I couldn’t help but laugh. Jolly old me.

Are “flour balls” like dumplings? We have chicken and dumplings here sometimes. Whatever….it still sounds delicious.
Hey, you should eat your vegetables! If you were really a goat in your previous life, you would eat them. Or if you want to be a goat in your next life, you better start eating them for practice.
Next video you make should be a “talkie”. Give Mads a little scratch and talk to him, we want to hear your accent or at least laugh again. That was funny! It is good to hear you laugh and enjoy yourself at the playground.

Deb – Are flour balls like dumplings? That depends on what a dumpling is! Hehe. You know meat balls? Flour balls are like that, only made of.. flour..

Hmm, would seem that flour balls are indeed dumplings.
Don’t worry, I prefer the vegetables!
Hmm a talkie? The problem is that I have to pay the actors extra if they have spoken lines! I shall have to think about it.

I think if you pay the actors in “flour balls” and soup, they would talk! Two words: “Hi Mads” = two dumplings. Very simple plan!
That was a weird link above. Not the kind of dumplings I was thinking of btw. I like the sound of dumplings instead of “flour balls”. Maybe flour balls sound better in Danish???
