The Goat, The Bad and the Ugly
Well, well, well. What did Plume see when he looked out the window?
Plume saw the first snow of the year, he did. Plume is a happy boy.
Okay, it has stopped snowing now. And we didn’t get a huge amount. But any snow is good snow. I hope it will last a longly long time. Long enough for me to go out and play in it and rejuvenate my inner child.
Me -> community.livejournal.com/mutts_comics/304101.html. Totally so much me yes.
The goats probably won’t like it though. I bet they’ll stay inside. I’ll have to see if I can drag them out tomorrow. I’m sure they have some inner goat kids that need to frolick in the snow too.
The advantage of being inside is that Mads is more likely to get sleepy. When the wind is howling and it’s raining or snowing. Then there’s not much to do but eat. And when the food runs out, have a good relaxation session.
I still love sitting down with him.
Sleepy Mads and Sleepy Plume.
Meanwhile Magnethe was munching hay behind us. A nice calming, soundtrack.
You know what I like? I like when Magnethe’s tail wags back and forth. Today she was standing up against the wall and her tail started dashing around and banging against the wall. Too cute. She usually wags her tail when she sits down too. And if she happens to sit down against the wall or against a bucket then you get that same slapping sound. Too cute.
Also, a new video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=uMc1YMkScBQ. Mads and the lemonade bottle. See how his tongue starts darting out. The funny thing is that he is normally terrified of liquids. None of the goats like the rain, but Mads reeeally hates it. When I sit inside I am usually sitting close to their water bucket. And if I even move my hands towards it then Mads starts flinching and backs off. Even the idea of someone splashing water on him is horrible I can tell. But if it’s in a bottle then I guess it doesn’t scare him.
Another thing I like is the goats’ tongues. When they have had a treat then their tongues start darting out like that. Licking their lips. I often can’t stop myself from mimicking it. So I’ll start slapping my tongue around on my lips. I’m sure if anyone sees me doing that then they’ll think I’m crazy. But ah, goat see goat do.
That’s it. Tomorrow I’m going shopping for Friends. Ooh, cryptic!

I think Mads would be easy to hypnotize. “You’re getting sleepy, your eyes are growing heavy, sleep, sleep, little goat.”
Mads sure enjoys his lemonade. Does he get animal crackers? Do you have animal crackers in Denmark? They are small cookies with animal shapes for people to eat, mainly little kids, but adults like them, also.

Debster – Just dangle a carrot in front of him, his eyes would follow it no doubt. Hmm animal crackers. I have always heard of them as an American thing. But I would imagine it would be possible to find them in Denmark. I shall looksee. I wonder what Mads would say to a goatshaped cracker? I think he would say “dankyouveddymuch *glomph*”.

The animal crackers I had as a kid were circus animals. Lions, tigers, monkeys, a giraffe, a bear I think. The box they came in looked like a circus wagon that had cages with the animals in the cage. It had a white string-like handle to carry the box with. They were small and had a vanilla taste to them and were a brown color.
