And Now The Weather
As you might have gathered from yesterday’s two entries I am rather pleased with the current state of affairs.
And by that I mean the weather.
And by that I mean the absolutely bucketfuls of snow that we have got. Amazing. I will enjoy it while I can. Right now it is just perfect, just perfect. Next week there will be rain and rising temperatures. But for now, I am in snow heaven.
I made it up to the animals okay yesterday. I didn’t close the door properly when I went in to the goats though. Magnethe saw her chance to escape. I didn’t have to worry about her going far though..
Just a look outside where it was biting cold and still snowing, that was enough for her.
I’ll be feeding the animals tomorrow. I hope it’ll go okay. I bet I’ll have hard time with the door to the horse stable. The last couple of times it has been frozen stuck even though there were only small amounts of snow. But I’ll see. I wonder if the horses will even want to come out. They can’t grass. I don’t even know if they can get out to the fold. Anyway, I’ll see. As long as I can get the food and water for them then it’ll be fine.
Went out and enjoyed the winter night tonight. It was still snowing which makes it hard to take pictures with flash. Here’s a couple though:
That’s my leg there, in case you couldn’t tell. In some places I would sink down even further than that. But it’s fun to go off the beaten track where all the snow is pure and untouched.
I wish I could just swim around in the snow.
But that’s all for today. All this playing in the snow makes me a tired boy. Oh, before I forget. A video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=gxRLqwXXO7s. From before the snowfall. It’s Mads and Magnethe playing hard and rough. Clashing horns and jumping and all.
And now, back to snow dreaming.

So that’s what snow looks like. It looks like super fine sugar. It looks so pretty…kind of like the movie “The Shining.”
HERE’S JOHNNY!!!

We’re having a major weather event here. It’s been raining, sleeting, freezing rain, etc. Lots of little tree branches down all over and some power outages. Ice all over the power lines. Thought I say “hi” before/if we lose power.
Quite a little river running out of the cornfield down into the yard. Any deeper or wider and we may need a boat to get to the goats to feed them tonight! I would much rather have snow that this ice. Even have some flood advisories for people living near the river. Hope this is over soon.

Luis Lemmings – Uh oh! All work and no goats make Plume go crazy!
Debster – Lots of ice and sleet here too now I think. I just hope the snow will remain. For as long as possible. Our heat went out today. Only for a few hours though. Something about ice and snow on the power lines as well. Luckily I prefer it cold!
I hope you’ll get through your weather okay. When it snows, it pours.
